Oh no last I heard he was going to rehab, and had a job lined up when he completes his rehab

He was 136'd other day and released.

They only keep you on a section if they think they can help you or your a danger.

He thinks he's fine as he was let out.

Definite personality disorder going on with him, which can't be treated, hence his release.

Punchiest I've heard anyway. I'm sure there's hundreds of guys who are punch drunk from the sport that we never even heard of. Which makes it even worse for those guys.

Keeps,telling everyone there is nothing wrong, he’s not ill , but he keeps saying all the time repeating it . Oh and that he can’t wait to be back in pub with his mates, it’s not nice viewing, tbh. His family must be worried sick

Seems like a manic episode, if he is using alcohol and/or substances then the mental health services might not touch him until he is clear of the alcohol or substances as it could be an episode lead from over use of them.

However been meeting with neurologists recenlty to get decision over turned, they failed me due to scan revealing a moderate sized arachnoid cyst on my left temporal pole. Most likley incidental finding & from birth. Has anybody heard of a case like this & got decision overturned?

People like Trevor Berbick and Bonecrusher Smith failed brain scans (in their 40s) but were allowed to box elsewhere. The board blocked Bonecrusher/Akinwande in 94 so he went to Germany where they were happy for him to box Axel Schulz.

I know something similar happened to Kirk Garvey and he ended up seeing more specialists to get it overturned (what they found was clearly not relevant or was from an equipment error).

Holy is fine. He always had that bit of a stammer. Seen many of his interviews on YouTube. Seems ok to me. Bowe went down quickly towards the end of his career. I'm still amazed at George Chuvalo considering the type of fighter he was.

Bowe seemed to just go noticeably different after the Golota fight.

It is odd and not an exact science, which sometimes makes it a hard sport to watch. Holyfield seemed to be slightly "punchy" in his early 30's - I remember Lewis alluding to this in the Unidisputed truth documentary..... yet he carried on fighting for over 10 years after and took some punishment, but seems to be about the same now as he was back then.

Whereas Audley Harrison was noting (in his retirement speech) evidence of cognitive decline - he always sounds sharp to me though - in a much shorter, less hard career.

Graham Earl sounded pretty bad towards the end of his career - hope he is doing okay now.

I always find it amazing that clearly "punchy" fighters can pass brain scans - there has got to be evidence of damage there.

Iain Weaver is one GB amateur i recall who couldn't get a British license due to cyst.

I think he ended up fighting abroad for a bit instead for an America promoter.

Bobby Chacon is without doubt the worst I ever heard. Magnificent little warrior but the battles took a horrific toll. He literally could not form words and when asked questions would smile but only be able to respond with gurgling noises.

I think it's incredible LaMotta pretty much kept his senses until the end and lived as long as he did, he outlived Sugar Ray by almost 30 years.

There's a vid of him and Bowe recently sitting around talking and it was a mess all around. Still physically looks great though. He put on some good cards with his promotion but not sure where he's at with that going forward
