As for mickey1975 and hyperbole and what he no doubt considers his gnomic, cyptic replies to simple questions, every other person he's ever encountered he claims is some sort of "serious person". I would have thought the average age of posters on here would cause us to view such comments with a degree of world weary cynicism. It's not personal animosity towards mickey1975, I just get tired of the glorification of individuals who are, in most cases, unsavoury bullies and unpleasant people.

I'll be honest, the only thing that's coming across as unpleasant in this thread is your constant digs at him. Based on what I've read on the forum Mickey has been pretty transparent in terms of the circles he mixes in and I've never got the sense he's trying to glorify that scene. If anything he's been very matter-of-fact about it. There have been far worse culprits in that regard over the years.
Essentially all he has done here is say the story re. Fury and Grant isn't true based on a conversation he had with Grant. Separately Terry Dooley has said the same thing based on his own conversation with Grant. That's good enough for me. Not sure why it's bothering you so much.

I'm not that bothered. I find it boring more than anything else. How any reasonably intelligent adult wouldn't I find hard to fathom.
