I gotta say, a first post can't get any better than this.Ghost Town Ghost wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:23 I'm lurker that enjoys this excellent forum very much. I don't post much at all, mainly because someone more knowledgeable than I usually covers what I want to say. However, I felt compelled to contribute to this thread because I think Saad is a great poster whom I usually agree with. He handled this bout of intellectual dwarfism very well, in my view,
Thank you.

Planks are pretty good but I can't do them right now. Basically I just pick up a sledgehammer and do misc things with it while not putting it down for 20 mins. Kind of hard to describe, but the idea would be something like keeping your core engaged as if you were hanging on a pull up bar for as long as possible. Works your grip, forearms, shoulders, traps, upper back, ribs and upper abs together. If you can do pull ups, though, have a field day with them and get shredded.gilgamesh wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:27What core exercises do you do?Blodhemn wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:26 Situps are about the most worthless thing you can do. Before my disease eliminated my ability to do em, I did 500 a night and stopped there out of boredom, and guess what, hardly made a difference. So much better just skipping situps altogether and do core exercises.
Planking seems to be effective.

Even when I was a piece of steel I never topped 15 pull ups in sets.
Re: I think saad is 1 reason i will post less on boxrec
It's a particularly strenuous exercise.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:43 Even when I was a piece of steel I never topped 15 pull ups in sets.
Hell it's actually most hard on my hands. I have kinda sensitive skin, and I get blisters on my hands easily when I do too many of those. I usually wear gloves when doing it, even that only helps so much.

That means you know Oogiebe for a long time too. Ronny tells us same guy.

Yeah, I dunno, I used to love them, so anything you enjoy you'll get better at. Been hoping to be well enough for it but whatever. Just grip the bar like you're trying to bend the shit out of it, and finish up with a variant that engages as much of your back as possible. Fun coming up with different routines too. Just flexible as hell.

I am not Saad, but if I had to pick one person on this forum that just about expresses my views on lots of topics, it's Saad - I just happen to agree with him often, no biggie.

Just did my usual 40 . Going to try and do 3 sets of that today . We have to start somewhereOnetimeonly wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:14Damn, I started with 50 and I haven't worked out in years. However the first go I could only do 10 push ups and like 15 dips. Got the pu back to sets of 25. That hurt my feelings.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑19 Apr 2020, 19:05
I’m on the push ups and sit-ups too during this stupid lockdown. One of these days I’ll get past 40 sit-ups without my body just stopping at that number![]()
The main drudgery of working out for me is just, even if I somehow keep this up or even one day find it fun, i have to maintain it otherwise I just end up with a worse looking body than if I hadn’t bothered . You see those psychotic sorts that view gym as life. Not Maintaining the body for them is unthinkable. I’m the polar opposite
My body is ‘ok’ now. There isn’t a whole lot of definition and a little excess is going on but I’m not fat. I’m 6’1 and around 185 I guess. A lot of girls profess to liking dadbods too which I fall into the category of. And frankly I wouldn’t want to be going out with the sort of girl who only looks at ripped guys. However I have a double standard in that I won’t look at a girl who’s even remotely overweight.

Yeah, in the last 6 years I've lost 30 pounds. Problem is it was mostly muscle. I've got some odd spots about, lol. Not that I particularly care, I'm just bored.

Alot of morons on here looking to make up for their failures in their personal lives by having the best and most correct opinion here. Not sure if this saad character is one of them, dont really care either to be honest. If some punk gets a moments joy from imagining that he managed to stomp on me here then kudos to him, it wont really change anything in my life.
Re: I think saad is 1 reason i will post less on boxrec
Fair enough and I agree with your comments but they don’t apply to this situation. What we have here is a bona fide ignoramus, by the name of Ronny or Jip, who post‘s constant rubbish and seeks Saad’s friendship and approval. Now I’m not a psychologist but Jip is either, (a) an ex of Saad, or (b) the Illegitimate child of Saad. There can be no other explanation for this behaviour.H8Usernames wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 00:30 Alot of morons on here looking to make up for their failures in their personal lives by having the best and most correct opinion here. I aggree, i stand for good times. Zynism, constant arrogant, bossy know it all behaviour isnot my style.
For thing is, some said i have stubborn or that i knew everything. When u look back on my posts i often said that i was wrong on some subjects or differentiate.
Good example are mayweather, ward or crawford. They are 100 % all boring, but they are also 100 % good technicans, excellent boxers. Thats calls differentiate.

This can be applied to all forums more or lessH8Usernames wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 00:30 Alot of morons on here looking to make up for their failures in their personal lives by having the best and most correct opinion here. There is a difference between a good discussion/maybe having a different oppinion and provokation, insults & zynism.

I wish being bored made me MORE liable to exercise. Instead I think it’s just made me lazier .Onetimeonly wrote: ↑20 Apr 2020, 10:20 Yeah, in the last 6 years I've lost 30 pounds. Problem is it was mostly muscle. I've got some odd spots about, lol. Not that I particularly care, I'm just bored.

Started the 100 pushups in a row challenge with my son (turning 14 in May) when this shit started. Started with 15 on the first day and doing one more everyday. We did 41 yesterday and will do 42 today. Impressive how the body adapts. Everyday the last few are hard, but you alwys manage to pull it off. I guess it's gonna get real tough after 50 though.
Re: I think saad is 1 reason i will post less on boxrec
Yeah 50 is a crazy number. I never did more. You've never done 1.

I don't know what sounds harder to me: to drink as much as you do when you do drink, or go 10 days with no alcohol? That sounds downright draconian.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 10:14Lol, just because I stopped drinking about 10 days or so ago.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 08:05
