Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
Gotta be the USA imo. I'm noticing in it more and more.
Wilder -comedy circus of pathetic excuses after his one sided beatdown by Fury. He also made excuses for his loss in the amateurs to Romanov saying he was sick/ill
Russell Jr - claims his loss against Lomachenko was a 'fluke' and that he'd he'd beat him 99 times out a 100 hahaha
Prograis- clearly lost to Taylor yet claims he won.
Broner - got totally dominated by an old Pacquaio yet bizzarely claimed 'yall know I beat that boy'' insisting he won the fight lol
Jermell Charlo- moaning/making excuses after his loss to Harrison
There is a trend clearly. Why can't they just accept they lost to the better man and stop making excuses.

American fighters are more publicised globally than those from other geographical regions.Steel City wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 22:37 Gotta be the USA imo. I'm noticing in it more and more.

If the media doesn't publish anywhere near as many articles or videos for fighters that aren't from the US, then a lot of people won't be informed of any excuses that may have been conveyed.
Therefore, this is a meaningless thread that needs to be locked.
Re: Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
The US don't have a monopoly on excuses, I'm from the UK and some of my favourite fighters have been culprits:
Hatton blamed the ref for Mayweather loss.
Froch blamed the volcanic ash cloud after being edged out by Kessler.
Whyte still blames an old recurrent shoulder injury for being stopped by Joshua.
And let's not forget the Hayemaker.....

I am the only person to have Steel City on ignore?

It is about individual, not a country. To be fair Charlo won a close fight with Harrison IMO. Prograis - Taylor was clear decision for Taylor, but that does not mean fight wasnt close. And i didnt notice any extreme excuses from Prograis. He took that L like a man. Adrien Broner was 5 years old when Manny debuted in professional boxing. Something happen and he didnt develop mentally since then. Russell jr will take brain damage in 100 times out of 100 if he face Lomachenko these days.Steel City wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020, 22:37 Gotta be the USA imo. I'm noticing in it more and more.

IMO biggest problem is that idiotic trash talking to build up fights. It is harder to take a loss after that crap.
Re: Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
More like who hard trash talk will backfire in your face and also hit your ego in the process. It is sad to see guys just lose it after losing and not getting back on their horse.
They should take points from Chisora who gets his behind whooped from time to time. But always comes back with given no sh*t who ever is infront of him. Might not have reached another title shot yet. But, he don't care about me or anyone else. He goes in for the fans, the glory and that the crazy bastard never dodge anyone even if he gets a beating.
All them suckers should learn from a true pro and suck it up. A loss sucks but it is how you move on to the next thing that counts.
But, that "0" has taken a hold on many of this younger guys. It is all about nobody can beat them and so on. If a guy goes 5-5 against top 10 guys and elite fighters. Then it is a better resumé then beating on club fighters and busting about your "0".
So many guys have lost the flame after one defeat in the pros that one gets pissed. And rants about it.

Ukraine
Lomachenko claims he was fouled all night
Wladimir claimed he was drugged
Vitali claimed he tore his shoulder
Given the amount of fighters in the us versus Ukraine per capita Ukrainian fighters make the most excuses
Although hayes toe, hattons weight loss, joshua not being motivated, lennox blaming a quick stoppage.... maybe its the UK
Or... maybe fighters in general make excuses so they dont have to mentally deal with the reality they lost

You apparently have a difficult time telling the difference between reality & fantasy. Lomachenko was fouled all night, Vitali did tear his rotator cuff & I don't know what the fornicate Wlad is talking about but even still leaves you w/ a hit rate of 33% in recognizing real life from make believeJeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020, 10:57 Ukraine

I was being sarcastic you dope
Re: Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
Another ridiculous thread. Wlad made stupid excuses. Wilder made stupid excuses. They all do.

You may have some company soon.
Re: Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
It's really not a case of any particular country having boxers that can't accept defeat, it's just some boxers. Some boxers take a loss, and keep it moving. Some boxers never can accept it, and bitch about it.
Even some truly great ones that I'm a big fan of fit into this category.
Roberto Duran and Juan Manuel Marquez for example
But I mean. I would imagine it kinda comes with the territory of being a World Class athlete. You can't stand losing, that's why you got where you got in the first place.
Isn't there some old cliche that goes like "You show me somebody that's not a sore loser, and I'll show you a loser"

I'd say Wakanda and Narnia.
Re: Which countrys boxers after losses make the most excuses/can't accept defeat?
Which country's fans are most race-obsessed is a far more interesting question.
And to paraphrase Gil, show me someone ok with losing and I'll show you a loser.
