low blows resistance

Post by Cent0089 »

Just watched Lomachenko - Salido again and it is insane how much punishment to the balls Loma took. And despite that he was able to step on the gas in 12th. Is it about conditioning or what? Kovalev took few to the balls in Ward fight and it was critical. When i take low blow in sparring it will stun my whole body, i cannot understand how some guys can take these for 12 rounds. What do you think ?

Worst I can recall is Tyson/Ruddock 2. Mike dropped bombs on razors razor. I remember Ruddock retaliating with an Intentional hookercut to the jewels. Crazy rough fight.

For dqs, obviously golota.

Two cups? I dunno I seem to have avoided low blows although I've dished out a few. It's never happened, properly, to me as an adult. I guess you've got a protector down there and Salido doesn't punch as hard as Andre Ward. I would imagine Loma's and Kov's balls aren't so different in size

I've heard doorman tell stories of blokes who'll fight through a good dig in the family jewels, and I've dropped a couple with a front kick to the goolies. Is 'glass to the balls' a phrase we're prepared to take on?

Micky Ward took lots of low blows from Gatti, and he took them well.

Loma maybe just got little balls that are harder to hit clean

Probably has to do with the quality and fit of your cup more than any "resistance". Pretty sure your balls aren't something you can build toughness in.

Maybe Loma has a career in ballbusting videos once he retires

I was kicked in the balls, hard, a few years ago. I was wearing a cup but it ended up sandwiching thing.

Eh anyway, aside from the pain it took everything out of me. My stamina was shot. If a fighter takes the full 5 minutes I completely understand and think it’s necessary. I’d feel
It would be unfair to pressure them to continue before the time...given my experience.

He’s so good, even his balls are defensive wizards

The way 'refereeing' is going nowadays, these remarkable training methods might need to become mandatory preparation for 'b side' boxers, especially those heading for Vegas.

Goes without saying these feats should not be attempted without adequate supervision.
