Floyd was too fast for tony. This would be tough because floyd would have been on his bike with constant pressure coming. Marg might win some exchanges will floyd on the ropes. Id say 117 to 111 floyd

Margarito at his best could've given Floyd some big problems in spots, but ultimately I figure Floyd would adjust to his wild shots, and start catching him more and more as the fight went on.

I figure Floyd would win by UD with scores around 116-112.

The floyd that fought maidana would have more issues than the floyd that fought baldomir

Not if that's when the fight was made he wouldn't have. Margarito was shot to pieces by 2014. 2006 Margarito was still dangerous.

Why is Margarito even considered? His entire career is suspect.

12-0 Floyd. Just put margaritos face on baldomir and you have the fight.

Marg could wear mma gloves or any wraps he wanted and he still would hardly touch Floyd, it wouldn't matter

Ahh he'd take at least a few rounds. He's not as slow as Baldomir, hit harder, and threw more punches. He's bound to take at least a few rounds.

Baldomir was slow as all hell for a Welterweight.

I can't imagine him landing a significant punch.

I could imagine some exchanges on the ropes and tony getting some shots in

Baldomir isnt an apt comparison. Margarito cut the ring off well, was taller with a better reach and leverage, busier and just better.

For the sake of the mythical matchup im thinking the margarito who fought paul williams and cotto

I can't either really, but I could see him taking a few rounds maybe just by outworking Floyd. He did throw a lot of punches at least. If Floyd took a round off or whatever Marg might eke one or two out.

Well considering all we're debating here is just how wide the Unanimous Decision in Floyd's favor would be it's not worth arguing about
