Lightweight
Freddie Norwood W8 Darien Ford
Scores: 80-72 (three times)
Records: Norwood, 39-1-1; Ford, 10-15
Rafael's remark: Norwood, the former featherweight champ, returned to the ring for the first time since September 2000, when he yielded his title on the scale after not making weight and was then knocked out in the 11th round by Derrick Gainer. Norwood, a southpaw, had the six-year layoff because of promotional and managerial problems, not to mention a stint in prison. His return was a long way from the bright lights of a title fight. Instead, he faced journeyman Ford in a walkout bout after the Taylor-Wright main event. Norwood, 36, who has signed with Prize Fight Boxing, dominated Ford and got in solid rounds as he tries to shake off the rust of such a long layoff.

Record correction

Post by kojak »

He guys,
Under Norwoods last fight in his record. You have that last fight listed as a six rounder instead of an eight. Please correct it to keep your records accurate.
