You are correct, without the extra point for the knockdown, it would not have effected the score for Davis, nor the 117-113 for Rosario, but the 115-114 for Rosario would have been a 115-115 Even score for a 12 round draw. And obviously Rosario would have retained his title on the draw. However, rather than say there would have been a rematch, I believe Rosario was already penciled in for the Ramirez rematch. And we all know how that went.

Going from memory I think I had Chapo winning by 2 pts, while my best boxing buddy at the time thought Davis edged it.

From what I remember Davis was 1 rd away from winning a close decision then got knocked down securing the loss.
