I mean it's not an outlandish matchup. Dokes did give Holyfield a hell of a fight at Heavyweight.

I'd pick Qawi to win a UD or stop Dokes late.

Jeremy Williams vs Wilder was a hell of a lot more ridiculous.

Dokes was a long established HW with some of the fastest hands in hw history, he won a title and fought some good opponents, if anyone's involvment is out of place it's Qawi's since he did nothing of note at HW except get a beatdown from George

both Holy fights were at cruiser

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic. The George fight wasn't a beat down.

I thought they were pitching the fight as a Cruiserweight bout. If it's a Heavyweight bout yeah I'd take Dokes.

I know Dokes never competed as a Cruiserweight, but he was a very small Heavyweight who could've conceivably made the weight. Especially by the modern standard where the weight limit has been raised to 200.

No, dokes wasn't small. He was probably close to 250 for holyfield. When he was younger in the 215 range. To the best of my recollection, foreman was qawis only fight at heavy.

Certainly not. Just got mixed up on his stature. Honestly outside of the Holyfield fight I don't know a hell of a lot about Dokes.

:TU:

He was too big for qawi, especially since he was faster too.

Quawi wasn't much impressive at the HWs. Of course, he isn't of the HW size, but also he moved up too late. Anyway, Dokes had not only the size advantage, he was a solid boxer. Dokes would deal with Qawi, possibly stopping him.

Williams vs Wilder not sooo far fetched :-P
But Holyfield was a Lion at Cruiserweight. The 1st Qawi fight was awesome.
Dokes was a guy that the books all hyped but i never was really impressed. He mugged Mike Weaver in the 1st fight and the referee stopped it quickly.2nd fight was a 15 rd draw I thought Weaver won.
But I think Qawi would be too small to beat Dokes.Too much size to overcome.
Qawi was a great fighter though.
