Caleb Plant vs Jermall Charlo- who wins it and how?

Post by apollo creed »

Beside Benavidez I think Plant would be a good opponent for Charlo at 168 lbs! :box:

I'd pick Plant to win by decision. It's a 50/50 match in my mind though.

Plant. He is a better boxer. Charlo is good, but special only in terms of power, while Plant is slicker and more polished. I see Plant outsmarting and outboxing Charlo.

It’s certainly a fight I’d like to see. Good match up; I’d favour Plant.

Plant wins by wide decision, Charlo has a punchers chance but is behind Plant in almost every department.

Charlito's power isn't something to brag about. Korobov and even Adams fights are the proofs. :TU:

Anyway if Charlo is gonna fight Plant or Benavidez it will be a good step up. :TU:

Charlo v Plant is a dream fight.

Unfortunately, it's also likely to be a fight that Jermall Charlo is only prepared to dream about.

168? Seriously?

“168 here I come. I’ve got the approval,” said Jermall Charlo on social media. “If you don’t get that rematch with [David] Benavidez, I’ll take it."

It seems like Jermall is moving up to 168 lbs.

Maybe he does, he is naturally bigger. Doesn't mean Charlo couldn't hurt him if he caught him though.

But, like I say, Plant is better than Charlo.

I could be wrong, but there doesn’t seem to be any imminent prospect of us witnessing a bout between Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo, since neither guy has the other on their respective radars?

In terms of their next bouts, their names seem to be linked to other opponents.

What I’ve said isn’t unreasonable though, is it?

If there’s no prospect of Charlo and Plant facing each other for the next year or so, then there’s nothing wrong about mentioning this particularly pertinent fact, is there?

You're not wrong EO but then there is no imminent prospect of watching any live boxing, so why not spend time thinking about attractive match-ups that could be made?

You’re very tolerant of such an irrational person. What’s your secret? Yoga?

I think Plant can take a decision here, but it'll be his toughest test yet. I think it'll be Jermall's toughest bout too, but it's just a hunch.

I've not done yoga for 46 years so I don't think it can that. I have a soft spot for the guy despite his flaws and his infallible ability to piss people off without even trying. :D

Yes, it's a good fight and a smart move for Plant would be for him to jump ship Matchroom.
Missing that ship could mean lockdown for a while.
A bright future is only a phone call away so they say...

Jermall KO 9 Plant, Plant leading on the scorecards when Jermall Charlo Lands clean that shakes Plant and Charlo knowing he is behind and needs a KO jumps on him and ends the Fight. That is how I see it, A lot of people picking Plant so an excellent and fair matchup (Fair meaning both fighters have a good chance to win, a Toss up)

i think caleb wins this fight. i think plant can push him back take the front foot and force charlo to swing wildly , funny enough there quite similarly when they throw punches , i think charlo is a bully but has improved still what ive seen off him , i think plant is like next kelly pavlik, tough fight plant points
