Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Ya, looks about a half inch or so for Fury, seems like he's a touch taller than Wilder and a touch shorter than Price, longer arms than both of them
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Hey, people, everything is just an illusion and a conspiracy. Fury's real height is 5'11''. Now you know. So, can we now discuss something else?

He gets taller in the ring, in the ring he's actually 7'4, outside more like 6'7.5

Sonny Liston used to put towels around his shoulders to make him look bigger and more menacing, as if Sonny Liston needed to make himself any scarier.Controversial wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 13:52 I'm sure I read on another threat that Fury was listed as 6'6" or 6"7" as an amateur. I've never been convinced he's 6'9", its not uncommon for people to exaggerate their height. I think a lot is mind games, a bit like Klitschko wearing those shoulder pads into the ring to make him look even bigger.

In the ring he is a supernatural 9 foot golden god.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 18:51 He gets taller in the ring, in the ring he's actually 7'4, outside more like 6'7.5
He walks heavy, and is a serious person.

Yep, fighters will do such things to give them a psychological edge. I'm sceptical about the 84" reach they claimed Liston had too.Syntax Error wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 19:00Sonny Liston used to put towels around his shoulders to make him look bigger and more menacing, as if Sonny Liston needed to make himself any scarier.Controversial wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 13:52 I'm sure I read on another threat that Fury was listed as 6'6" or 6"7" as an amateur. Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Fury is not 6’9. This is how I see them.
Fury 6’7 max
Wilder 6’6.5/7 max
Wlad 6’5
Price 6’8
Vitali 6’7
AJ 6’5.5
Valuev 6’11
Andre the Giant 6’11
Danny DeVito 4’10
Fury 6’7 max
Wilder 6’6.5/7 max
Wlad 6’5
Price 6’8
Vitali 6’7
AJ 6’5.5
Valuev 6’11
Andre the Giant 6’11
Danny DeVito 4’10
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
About right. Price is taller than both. Wilder and Fury are about the same height.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 18:46 Ya, looks about a half inch or so for Fury, seems like he's a touch taller than Wilder and a touch shorter than Price, longer arms than both of them
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Tyson is taller than 5’9. More like 5’10 at least. Vitali is legitimate 6’7 and Fury is about the same. He is nowhere near 6’9.Syntax Error wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 15:42 There does seem to be a massaging of height figures of the rich & famous, particularly sports people.
For example, Mike Tyson's height was always over estimated & he was commonly listed as 5' 11.5", when in reality, he is about 5' 9" approximately.
Saying that, I always believed Tyson Fury to be his listed height.
A good barometer would be to see him up close with Vitali, who is 6' 8": There must be pictures of the two of them in close proximity as Fury fought Wladimir.
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
As a guy who was always bothered about fighters height, this is my guess:
Fury 6ft 7" max
Wilder 6ft 6.75"
Wlad 6ft 6.5" prime
Price 6ft 8.5"
Vitali 6ft 7.5 to 6ft 8" prime
AJ 6ft 6"
Valuev 6ft 11"
Mike Tyson 5ft 10.5 to 5ft 11"
current heavy prospect :
daniel dubious 6ft 4'5"
Tony yoka 6ft 7"
Efe Ajagba 6ft 7"
Bakhodir Jalalov 6ft 7.5"
Fury 6ft 7" max
Wilder 6ft 6.75"
Wlad 6ft 6.5" prime
Price 6ft 8.5"
Vitali 6ft 7.5 to 6ft 8" prime
AJ 6ft 6"
Valuev 6ft 11"
Mike Tyson 5ft 10.5 to 5ft 11"
current heavy prospect :
daniel dubious 6ft 4'5"
Tony yoka 6ft 7"
Efe Ajagba 6ft 7"
Bakhodir Jalalov 6ft 7.5"
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
I think it's funny how people seem to want Iron Mike as tiny as possible. So in his fights he's listed at 5'11.5. Eventually, after Mike retired, somebody decided, Mike is 5'10" and that's how tall he is on boxrec. Then you'll get all the idiots that'll go:"oh he was 5'8" or he was 5'9"... Jesus he never looked that small.Loki wrote: ↑02 May 2020, 13:22Tyson is taller than 5’9. More like 5’10 at least. Vitali is legitimate 6’7 and Fury is about the same. There's a photo kicking about somewhere with Vitali and Usyk and Vitali almost looks like a different species his massive head is so huge. I'm confident Usyk can do something interesting at heavy, but that photo always makes me think: too small, dude. I don't know how to post a photo but here is a link https://www.shutterstock.com/editorial/ ... e-6809581d
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Tyson isn’t near 6ft, I agree, about 5’10 but not 5,9 or shorter. That’s idiotic.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑02 May 2020, 18:05I think it's funny how people seem to want Iron Mike as tiny as possible. Fury’s claim is the worst - he’s nowhere near 6’9. I’d love to see him standing next to Hafthor Bjoronsson whose legitimate 6’9. Then you’ll see how tall he is.
Here’s a picture of Vitali next to Lamar Odom, that should give you some perspective given Lamar is 6’10.

Yeah that's about right, considering I believe Vitali to be 6'8" rather than his listed 6'7.Loki wrote: ↑02 May 2020, 18:45Tyson isn’t near 6ft, I agree, about 5’10 but not 5,9 or shorter. That’s idiotic.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑02 May 2020, 18:05

On that mad celebrityheights.com they've got Bjoronsson as the same height as Fury, So he's probably telling porkies too

Wilder looks like he's got little heels on there. It actually looks like he's wearing women's shoesmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 20:33 Except for David Price
Didn't see him dwarfing Wilder at all tbh, even with chunky shoes. Next thing he'll be taller than Valuev![]()

Based on that though, id say Fury is about 6"8 though.

It's just the typical thing you see on men's dress shoes, nothing more than Fury's fat platforms I don't think. Though lol the tassles do make it look campy
Re: Tyson Fury Real height
Ha, what a joke, he's not even 7 foot! He'll be considered a small heavyweight in 40 odd years, just like the HW's of the 70's and 80's.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 18:38margaret thatcher wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 20:33 Didn't see him dwarfing Wilder at all tbh, even with chunky shoes.
