DAZN COMPENSATING THE FANS?
Has anyone heard or read anything about DAZN adding some months to our accounts or something to make up for many months of no programming?
Re: DAZN COMPENSATING THE FANS?
I sent them an email asking about that shortly after all this started..........no response.......at all.
Re: DAZN COMPENSATING THE FANS?
Speaking of Dazn compensating...
Those mega deals with Canelo, AJ and ggg. Are they paid fight by fight?
If Dazn collapses...I’d guess those fighters won’t get that money. Dazn is a limited company, as in Dazn group limited.

Always going to be fight by fight. This lapse has been dazns most profitable venture here in the States.

If it is fight by fight, then what you've said is very interesting - That Dazn has amassed money from yearly subscriptions, but is not spending money on content, because of corona virus. Therefore, they are making a profit, it would seem...in the short term.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 09:29Always going to be fight by fight. ...unless customers can somehow get their money back for contract or consumer reasons, such as not being provided the service they paid for...
Interesting stuff if you ask me, in terms of consumer rights.

I don't think they've made enough money to cover 1 canelo fight. They'll never make money on boxing here.lazboy wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 21:51If it is fight by fight, then what you've said is very interesting - That Dazn has amassed money from yearly subscriptions, but is not spending money on content, because of corona virus. So it’s a matter of time then, unfortunately. I love the idea of dazn...but it’s not available where I am so I have other sources. I’d happily pay if I could.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 21:53I don't think they've made enough money to cover 1 canelo fight. Yeah, I love it. We've never had whole cards televised here.lazboy wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 22:03So it’s a matter of time then, unfortunately. I love the idea of dazn...but it’s not available where I am so I have other sources. I’d happily pay if I could.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 21:53

I was fortunate that my annual subscription lapsed in April. I’ll re-sub in June or July once fight cards are running again.

It’ll be interesting to see whether DAZN and Endeavor (owners of the UFC) are able to survive the commercial impact of the coronavirus pandemic and resulting recession that is forecasted to be as severe as the Great Depression of the 1920’s, since both companies have spent billions (with massive financial/long-term contractual commitments) and have also been trying to raise a considerable amount of revenue (hundreds of millions) via loans/flotation.

Lol, the UFC is a money making machine. Exact opposite of dazn(in the States). Your ability to spew out the dumbest shit is epic. They've got 3 cards in the next week.
