Virtual reality boxing network

Post by snake33 »

How about a boxing network, like DAZN or whatever. When you join you
get a virtual reality headset. When a fight comes up, you can purchase
row 1 seat fourteen. You can see the fight, boxers walking up the isle.
And the beer is a lot cheaper. The promoter could sell thousands of
people on the front row. You would be at the fight but at home
eating your wife's lasagna. You could still have a live crowd but
PPV would be way more worth it.

I would like DAZN or any network to have the official judges wear a camera and have a picture in picture on the screen during the entire event so fans watching on TV see the real time difference between what they are looking at on the TV and what the judges see.

I think boxing looks better most of the time on tv than from the seating tbh :bag:

At the very least, it's an interesting idea. Everyone watching would be alone though, no? :maybe:

That would be terrible, ringside is way worse than TV. Last thing I want are ropes and a refs ass between my eyes and the fighters.

I didn't say it would be better viewing.
Some people clearly don't understand the fact that official judges don't have the same view as those watching on tv.
An occasional broadcast like that might help.

As long as I don't have to use that or the ops suggestion. :TU:

And then we could have an even better argument that judging is sh!tty when we still manage to get it right more than they do :yay:

Sky Sports already does (or did) something similar to this. I'm sure I've seen 360° videos of AJ's ring walks and a few of his bouts.

I think you can still wear a VR headset and watch this content.

No.
You would not because you still get to see the TV broadcast while they do not.
