James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
How does this one go?
Re: James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
Depends on the weight. At the MW I'd favor Toney, at the LHW I'd go with Hopkins.
Re: James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
I'd pick Toney over Hopkins at both weights.Toney at his best was magnificent.Hopkins at his best was really good.Just my thinking though.
Re: James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
The match favors Hopkins more at Middleweight, he was at his very best in that weight class. Toney often struggled with the weight even when he was young, and I don't think ever got the best out of his abilities there.
I'd favor Hopkins by UD at Middleweight.
At Light Heavyweight it'd be more of a contest, and I could see either a draw or Split Decision either way.

I'd take Toney at both weights, by decisive decisions.

Re: James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
I think at their best toney was better but bernard had a better career because of his discipline
Re: James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins
You're right about discipline. If Toney had his discipline he'd probably still be a Champion.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑05 May 2020, 10:42 I think at their best toney was better but bernard had a better career because of his discipline
