I wouldn't care enough to watch any outside the ring stuff with any fighters. Strange because charlo would handle danny.
He looked like he was straight up scared of him when Danny got in his face, and challenged him.
Jacobs 'manhandle' Charlito boy straight up. :TU:

True enough, I was just responding to Gil acting like benavidez would roll over him. Being honest, I wouldn't be overly bothered if boxing never came back as it was.
I mean it might not be the one sided beatdown I envision in my head, but I'm confident that Benavidez would win the fight handily. Hope it gets made.

Charlo would probably be able to take Plant.
All I want is to see Charlo fighting one of them. :box:

He's definitely had some real good performances. It's been a while though. He didn't want none of Danny Jacobs, the 3rd or 4th best guy at Middleweight.
Ok, don't remember that.
There’s some video where one or both Charlos had been talking some ish about Jacobs and he happens to walk past them in a corridor, they definite weren’t as brave to his face when he called them on it, but I don’t know if that ever translated to a fight that was turned down. He came over pretty well IIRC (Jacobs), wasn’t ranting and raving just solid and self-assured.

Makes more sense, he didn't try to fist fight him. Got it. :TU:

There's a big natural size difference between 160 and 168. Kind of like 147 and 154. Canelo only gets away with it because he's ATG at this point. Charlo relies on his power enough where he'll have a problem when he finds out super middles don't fall as easy.

Yeah but Jacobs had that relaxed self-assured demeanour that makes you think he’s the kind of dude you want next to you if a beef is developing. Maybe i over-read it at the time but I was impressed with his poise.

Also notice it looks like Charlo's whole entourage is talking sh*t at Danny when he shows up while it's just Danny doing the talking from his side.

Ultimately this doesn't amount to anything, but it certainly looked like Danny was the less intimidated of the two.

Not surprising, he's maybe too poised in the ring. Not just being a pro boxer, but the out of the ring battles he's fought probably leave you immune to loud shittalking.

With Jermall looking at 168 will Jermell look to 160? if so this is going to ruin me as iv always just remembered Jermall as the 160 Charlo. but Jermell becomes a 160 Charlo.... oh my little brain will explode.

whoever decided to name twins "Jermell" and "Jermall" should be in jail. The entire point of a first name is to identify people easily. This is the worst use of naming since the Garry A Russel family, and that is i believe the single worse use of naming in existence.

 It's hard to take to a pair of brothers who's names are separated by one vowel. I like Jacobs: I thought he beat GGG legitimately by a point plus he got rid of Quillin for us. I don't really watch these guys all that much: a lot of weight cheats around those weight classes, and the fights happen at the dead of night too.

PBC is loaded at 168. This is a very smart move.

George Foreman has five sons, all named George Edward Foreman.

I believe a couple of his daughters also has/had George mentioned somewhere in their names too (i.e. Freda George Foreman and Georgetta Foreman).

You kind of sense that Jermall, despite being one hell of a good boxer, might lack confidence when it comes down to the crunch. This would explain a few things about his career.

Of course, he can easily correct this, but is he really able to feel the fear and do it anyway?

You guys are reading far too much into publicity stunts like this, because eloquent media savvy boxers, who have secondary roles as sports pundits working for the TV networks, will always portray themselves in a more positive light than their rivals.

The only thing that matters is what happens inside the ring.

There’s a reason why these idioms exist: a tiger doesn’t lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep; quietness does not equate with weakness; and a barking dog seldom bites.

By the way, I’m not saying that Jacobs can’t beat Charlo at 168lbs, but publicity stunts are utterly meaningless when attempting to determine the outcome of potential bouts.

Because he won't fight the other names.

If he doesn't do it at 168 he'll be blah there too.

Hype with no substance isn't ever impressive.
What names have tried to fight him? He's always impressed me past the korobov fight, that he clearly won. First time I saw him his patience impressed me. You're off the mark here.
I believe Hearn/Andrade offered $7 million for a fight a month or two ago, and Charlo turned it down. Too bad, it would have been a good fight.

“I said to PBC, ‘What do you have for Charlo? No one wants to see him [Jermall] have a voluntary defense, and no one wants to see Demetrius have a voluntary defense anymore. We’ll do it on Fox.’ Absolutely,” Hearn said when asked if he told PBC that he would match Andrade against Jermall Charlo on Fox. “Two weeks ago [Hearn asked PBC about matching Andrade with Charlo].
All I said to them was, ‘Can we do Charlo-Demetrius on DAZN?’ ‘No.’ ‘Can we do Charlo-Demetrius on Fox?’ ‘Oh, would you let him come to Fox?’ ‘Yeah.’ ‘Ah, okay.’ It wasn’t [we’ll do it.’ It doesn’t sound like Charlo and his training team wants to fight Demetrius Andrade,”
said Hearn.
“On one hand, Charlo will say he’s his own boss, and he’ll message me and say, ‘Send me an email.’ So I send him an email, and he says, ‘I don’t make any decisions. Speak to Al Haymon,'” said Hearn. “What happened to Lion’s Only Promotion? It needs to be Cubs Only Promotion because ‘man-up’ before your own boss, and let people know what you’re going to do.
“If you’re not willing to fight another champion in a unification fight for twice as much money, and more money than you ever, then there’s something I don’t understand,” Hearn said of Jermall. “Are you being talked out of it?
“Is somebody telling you they got better options for you? So if it’s a network thing, do it on FOX. If it’s not, take the money and prove that you’re the best,” said Hearn in talking about Charlo. from BN24

I don't believe that.
https://www.BS.com/andrade-cha ... on--147967

Not sure if the link works. Here is a quote from the BS article from late March : “Seven million! C’mon man! That's a lot of money!” Andrade told Hearn, referencing the sum that was offered to Charlo so that a fight could take place. “Supposedly he says that he’s the best. I say that I'm the best, and I'm willing to put that in action. It has to be the other way around too. All I can do is keep winning and take the challenges.”

Charlo was offered a one-fight deal by Hearn in December to fight Andrade on DAZN and unify the division's titles but ultimately decided to turn it down.
