He always looks good, he finally used a little brains with his balls. Man, not only did Ferguson eat uncountable flush shots, but walked into them. Rare occasion where I was telling for the fight to be stopped.
Great card, but I was surprised and a little ashamed how much not having a crowd affected me.

I seen Espinoza say that Dana made all involved sign confidentiality agreements about any grievances they might have over covid, disgusting if true, people arent allowed to air any legit health and safety concerns in their workplace
Just goes to show that Dana is only interesting in money and his ego, I take it hes a Trump fan?

Espinoza has no credibility. All of the fighters wanted to fight, they put stringent testing in place and 3 people had it. If anything has been displayed over this stretch is that Dana cares about more than money. Trump was integral in keeping the UFC going in their rough times setting them up in Atlantic city. Crazy thinking back only 15 years or so they were on the verge of folding and now it's more popular and profitable than boxing!handsofstone wrote: ↑10 May 2020, 07:13 I seen Espinoza say that Dana made all involved sign confidentiality agreements about any grievances they might have over covid, disgusting if true, people arent allowed to air any legit health and safety concerns in their workplace

Yeh. Someone asked Dana at the post fight presser about Espinoza saying that there was something in the contracts. Can’t remember the word he used. Dana was like how would he know what’s on the contracts. He’s supposed to be a lawyer yet doesn’t know anything about contracts.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑10 May 2020, 08:20Espinoza has no credibility. Espinoza is just against Dana White regardless of anything. He’ll always makes up something bad to say about him or UFC for the sake of it.

Did he deny it though? You've got to respect Dana's game even as a non UFC fan but I just wonder if he's putting innovation before health and safety , if this one went tits up I doubt it would deter him to keep trying to get another show on at the nearest opportunity

Those were 2 of the baddest muthafuckers in the UFC. Tony didn't need to take that fight against Gaethje but he did. Major props to both guys. I hope Gaethje fucks up Khabib real bad.

To be fair there was no one in the arena besides the production team and the fighter's corners. What did you expect?

He's just posturing for money. He's on a roll and has a claim to being the best fighter in the sport. Orchestrated.
Re: MMA
Yeah I did get that impression too. Also a headline to keep his name out there, which he has done fairly consistently since the DJ fight.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑10 May 2020, 16:20 He's just posturing for money. He's on a roll and has a claim to being the best fighter in the sport. Orchestrated.
I've seen a few guys retire in the ring and Rogan showed some genuine empathy. This time it came across as 'alrighty then'

Rogan is shot. I lol when he was like gaithje is landing his right hand at will. First, he was landing everything and at that point in the fight he was landing even more hooks. I love Tony so I hope it's not the case, but that looked like a career changing beating.Tinnie wrote: ↑10 May 2020, 16:34Yeah I did get that impression too. Re: MMA
Tbf p4p I think Ferguson's corner should of pulled him out the end of round 4,Tony was getting lit up and his face was a mess,he was never gonna stop Justin so why get your fighter stopped? We all know how tough Ferguson is so let his corner and Tony show us somethin new next time out. I was gutted Tony lost,he has waited so long to get khabib in the octagon and this happens.
Re: MMA
Gaethje has a strong wrestling background but uses it to avoid take-downs (very very well) and fights mainly with boxing and leg kicks. For most of his career he has been an exciting slugger, arguing that a fighters career is short, and better to perform in front of huge crowds making PPV money and win bonuses than having a safety first career. When he moved to the UFC he had back to back losses against Alvarez and Poirier and seemed to have maybe reached his limit, but then he dialled back the face first aggression and started to improve again. How good is he? Good enough to fight for the title. Can he beat Khabib? Well he has the right style to do so, but Khabib's grappling and pressure is other wordly and I think the champ will start as favourite.Shhhh wrote: ↑11 May 2020, 15:16I seen the fight that was some beating he dished out. I would add that his beating of Tony was impressive as fornicate but I’m not sure that Tony was at his best going into the fight. He had a really long camp because of the original fight cancellation, he stupidly cut weight on the date of the original fight because he is crazy as shit. After that beating though we may never see Tony at his best again anyway.

Re: MMA
He will be kicking himself for that pointless and very damaging weight cut. He was slower than usual on sat night. I’m not saying it’s the reason he got dominated but it’s certainly a reason. Weight cutting is the worst thing fighters do to themselves, doing it twice is utter stupidity. Tony seems the kind of guy to do stupid counter productive stuff for his crazy ego.p4p1 wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 05:24This is how I see it as well.dazzler wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 04:03

Re: MMA
He has a documented history of paranoid psychosis (see here https://www.attacktheback.com/a-detaile ... al-health/). However, other than that he seems a good person. Psychosis is a symptom of a (series of) illness(es) and people shouldn't be judged as bad because of it - they just need to be responsible with their medication, and really good medication exists these days.Shhhh wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 05:56Cheers for that - one question about Tony. I know peeps rated him as a fighter, but how is he as a person? Obviously a bit nuts but I mean is he regarded as a decent stand up guy? He seems to play the nutter card a bit hard and tbh I can’t warm to a psycho. What is his rep as a human being? Cheersp4p1 wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 05:24

Sorry to hear that. It also may be true that they were not on enough medication, or on the wrong medication. I am not an expert on psychiatric conditions, but I do know a person with a condition that seems similar to Tony's, and in that case once the family found the correct medication the improvement was absolutely incredible. Glad you are OK now, stay heathy !Shhhh wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 07:46dazzler wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 07:28

Wow thanks for that.... I dont know weather I like him more or less now! Has he had any drug issues? You know like coke problems? Coke seems to cause a lot of psychosis.... I don’t really trust medication tho, they seem to cause as many problems as they solve. Every single person I knew personally who has commit suicide has been on strong medication. I was on it for years and messed my head up

If you watched him on TUF it seemed like something could definitely be wrong with him. He oscillated pretty wildly between no-nonsense silent type and massive shit-starting asshole.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑13 May 2020, 16:07That’s tragic, makes my post above look really harsh.
