I would guess is career earnings were 4 times more than Degale ?

De Gale signed a good deal when turning pro, but i'd go with Groves amassing more over the years.

Dunno, I remember Cleverley earning something like 60k in dollars for a defence over there. Generally our fighters earn much more at home

Looking it up sources seem to say DeGale got $750k for his fight against Badou Jack who got $700k.

For some reason I though the pair of them would be sharing a fortune.

I’d pick Groves on a guess.

I feel for groves, the guys 32 and has been retired for two years and I can see why. He seemed to be in way too many tough fights for a guy his age. His prime should have been where the end of his career was. Perhaps his style had something to do with it but looking back at his career he was in a lot of tough fights imo too soon.

I’d say Groves with his purses against Froch and WBSS would of earned more.

But DeGale got some of the Al Haymon money fighting abroad. Both he and Lee Selby made very good money.
