Re: Darius Michalczewski-Evaluate him
He was a very good but not great fighter who had a nice career and gets treated a bit underrated, a lot of people seem to be lazy and think it's his totally his fault that he and Roy didn't fight and that he must've been some super protected bum (most non-little fighters based in 'boxing countries' spend pretty much all career at home too). To me his career rates similar to GGG's

Very durable, high work rate and a strong jab. Right there that's going to win you alot of fights.

Re: Darius Michalczewski-Evaluate him
Very good fighter who never left his comfort zone, but had a significant run within it.
Re: Darius Michalczewski-Evaluate him
Frustrating in the fact that he had one of those careers the German boxing business seemed to specialise in.....
…..win a title and then defend it repeatedly and often at home against opposition that could put on a good show of sorts but was never super-dangerous or threatening. Some were names just off their prime and some were greenhorns.
He could finish blokes off when he was fighting in Hamburg or Cologne but I think Jones would have had him with a side of fries and it was actually the pretty handy Frenchman Fabrice Tiozzo stopped him in Hamburg.

Still Golovkin was considered the best, while Darius wasn't. It's fair to say, Wilder is a more similar case.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 May 2020, 13:17 He was a very good but not great fighter who had a nice career and gets treated a bit underrated, a lot of people seem to be lazy and think it's his totally his fault that he and Roy didn't fight and that he must've been some super protected bum (most non-little fighters based in 'boxing countries' spend pretty much all career at home too).
