Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
I hope it happens, no one wants to see Wilder/Fury again over Fury/Joshua
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
I think we’ve got the rematch with Wilder on as well at some point. Then we’ve got two AJ fights, well one and then obviously when I batter him he’ll want a rematch. Wilder’s got a rematch clause. Some newspaper reported that he wanted $10 million to step aside. But I’m not paying him no money to step aside, I’d rather take his scalp again. I’ll beat him in the ring, that’s how I’ll get him out of the way," Fury stated during an Instagram Live interview.
"I wouldn’t pay him $2 million to step aside – I’d rather give him another battering again. I’m going to take him out again for the third time, hopefully at the end of the year, and then we’re going to go into 2021 with the biggest fight in boxing history between two undefeated British heavyweights, me and AJ, and we’re going to battle it out for all the gold.

The ibf will strip Josh if he doesn't fight pulev. I hope he doesn't. Pulev is misery on the eyes.

Hughie is even stinkier than Pulev, he didn't even throw his air jabs vs Pulev, pretty much did nothing at all. Pulev vs Wlad and Dinu are better than anything Hugh's ever been in
But he's only a baby!!!!

Hughie should fight Gorman.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 19:25 Hughie is even stinkier than Pulev, he didn't even throw his air jabs vs Pulev, pretty much did nothing at all. Pulev vs Wlad and Dinu are better than anything Hugh's ever been in

I'd rather have that than have to see him air jab his way to another decision loss vs any contender
But maybe one day this baby, the ugliest and oldest looking baby I've seen, will get his 'man strength' and his 'fighting spirit'

Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
I do think Wilder will accept , step aside money ,but it won't be anywhere near 10 million, I think a 3rd fight just will not generate the money they think it will , and it will be a silly promoter who offers them any where near the same money they got before ,, I can see Wilder being offered a lot less for the rematch , so taking 1 or 2 mill for a step aside

No way he takes 1 or 2.fury has that huge contract and it's already set at 60/40.
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
If a boxer can earn 10 mil without throwing a punch I won't blame him for taking it, particularly if he is currently carrying an injury anyway.
It will give him a chance to get his head together. Ideally he will get at least one fight in before fighting the winner.

Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
But how they going to pay it if the fights a flop , and it definetly will not get the huge numbers , or i doubt it willOnetimeonly wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 04:05 No way he takes 1 or 2.fury has that huge contract and it's already set at 60/40.

I dont think it does huge numbers either, but they both have large guarantees. Fox & ESPN might have to take a hit.coneye wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 07:19But how they going to pay it if the fights a flop , and it definetly will not get the huge numbers , or i doubt it willOnetimeonly wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 04:05 No way he takes 1 or 2.fury has that huge contract and it's already set at 60/40.
Wilder made 10-12 million on breazeale. They might not pay him 10, but a minimum of 5.
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
If he was paid well, that was a good move. Cause only money was a reason to fight Fury again. Fury would win in a similar fashion anyway.
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
Wilder must have made enough to be very comfortable for the rest of his life, anything else he picks up now is all gravy
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
Not entirely sure that is true, he did try to sign him with a view to making the fight. He also made him an offer before the Wilder fights were made.Shhhh wrote: ↑14 May 2020, 06:52I honestly don’t believe Hearn wants Joshua to fight fury. It’s a massive risk. The money would have to be cash out money. Hearn knows Tyson would persecute AJ mentally and in the build up. We’ve already seen joshua can get mentally messed up in New York. Fury will get in his head and it’ll be great for viewers but not for joshua. Hearn has done everything in his power to keep Tyson away from JoshuaBigdogsnose wrote: ↑14 May 2020, 06:25 I sincerely hope that wilder has accepted step aside money and that pulev does also, just can’t see anyone including Saudis paying 10-20 million for fornicate all.
So much water to pass under the bridge, I’d be sceptical we ever see ah v fury.

Mate. This is Boxrec, not gay poetry corner. We want to know Tyson Fury's 'real height', whether beards absorb punishment, is Fwank making more than than fast car Eddie, and Wouldja? We have 25 page John Fury threads.revpickles wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 14:46 “Rumour's are a pipe Blown by surmises, jealousies, and conjectures...

I mean, do you even walk heavy?
Re: Apparently Wilder has accepted step aside money
He’d surely be better taking free money and getting two or three knockouts under his belt before going again?
Going straight back would say to me he saw it as the last chance to earn big money. Rebuilding suggests he thinks he can do better.
