Maybe Leonard lost the first fight because his pet hamster sparky was feeling under the weather and he was worried about him.

If we buy into these crybaby excuses, than we have to do that for literally any fight that ever took place.

I think it makes perfect sense. Duran made a series of stupid decisions.
It makes no sense and is really excuses.

He was Partying for 5 months? Come on.
Why is 5 months such a quick turn around? Duran usually fought frequently.
Duran didn't have to fight that soon if he didn't want to.
Duran looked in the same shape as the first fight.

I'ts all BS, crybaby excuses for Duran who was not good enough and quit like a dog.
Duran looked the same shape as the first fight???? You need to rethink that one..
And Duran's manager bought in hook line and sinker

They both weren't ready for the rematch. Of course for somewhat different reasons. Put down the bottle, or pick up the bottle, whichever works.

I know. I've heard that before.

The worst analogy ever is: they both were Latin American title holders, who both celebrated winning the title too long, accepted an almost immediate rematch, came in worst shape, and both lost.

Ali "looked" in great shape against Holmes. Managers never want quick money? Managers never make mistakes? I don't think anything needs to be re-thought.

I have it on good authority that both Duran and Ruiz have eaten ice cream and bathed.

Duran was a fuckhead, he should've done to Leonard what Leonard did to everyone else and refused to ever fight him again... Or you know not right then, Leonard ducked Hagler when the time was right, he fucked Hearns for a rematch, and worst of all he wouldnt go get stomped by aaron pryor when i needed him to for me...
Cause that's who boxers fight for right,...

Part of me knows how ridiculous all this is but ray is the biggest fuckhead in boxing, he's a douchebag in real life, years ago i worked at this aspen restaraunt and i watched him leave the best server in the whole place and that's why they gave ray to him because he was the best and I watch Sugar Ray Leonard leaving $3 on $100 bill saw it with my own eyes anybody who does that is a piece of shit and I'm glad that he ended up strung out on cocaine I wouldn't wish anyone but a bad Tipper to get fucked up with drugs... plenty of addiction in my family by the way before anyone says so if you knew what that was like you wouldn't say that I'm only saying that about bad tippers... (and fuckhead's who wouldn't fight Aaron Pryor) yep

I hate him too, he would have beat the shit out of Pryor. There was never a spot where that fight made sense.

Golden Oldie?

Bad tippers suck. No excuse for $3 on $100. SRL/Pryor was a fight that definitely should have happened.

I left a $40.00 tip on a check for $197.00 and the manager said to me that I should have left a little more.
