Costello & Bunce's Greatest nights

Post by THEBUTCH »

Oh my God, just listened to the Sugar Ray Leonard v Thomas Hearns podcast :box:

Absolute boxing heaven. Having the man himself speaking so clearly on his legendary fight with Hearns takes the podcast to a different level

I would really urge everyone to listen to this excellent podcast.

1. Which date is the podcast?
2. Does Bunce keep his high pitched squealing under control?

The Leonard one is incredible, best thing I've heard in years. Bunce is clearly loving every second and rightly so, and Costello keeps it moving along nicely. Leanard is so articulate, you feel like you are in there with him.

I didn't like the Tszyu Hatton one as much, was a bit by-the-numbers, but thought the Tyson v Spinks one was really enjoyable with Haye on top form talking us through it. Loved his line about Spinks having one bullet left and refusing to fire.

This has got to be the best boxing podcast at the moment as think Boxing Life Stories has gone a bit beige now he's having to do it online...Dixon is at his best face-to-face so will hopefully get back to that format soon.

The Mikkel Kessler Boxing life story is superb. Full force and no bullshit from the Viking Warrior.

Does he discuss his utter slag of a sister? Brought shame on the family name and used Mikel’s name for publicity. I’m sure I remember she was famous for having the biggest (fake) tits in Denmark
Perhaps not surprisingly, that was not covered.🤔

She gets a very brief mention but no more than the fact he has a sister. Thankfully Tris Dixon isn't interested in that sort of stuff.

Kessler has a wonderfully positive attitude is and refreshingly honest. This podcast is the polar opposite of the Richard Towers rubbish.

just googled her! surely dixon could have probed a bit more...."mikkel, andre ward and anthony mundine are both huge bellends, but they're not the biggest pair of tits you've ever seen are they?"

Oh his sister was great. She's done time for a number of things. She's in the film Pusher, basically playing herself.

Also this!
