Both are capable of losing rounds. Could Liston win a decision? Could Chuvalo stop Liston late? I don't think Liston has the combinations to stop Chuvalo like Frazier and Foreman did.

I have no idea, that's why I asked.

Can't fathom anyone putting George down. "Son of Moo?"

Ya, son of the great Moo Ali
Re: Liston vs Chuvalo
Liston obviously was at the higher level, but he wouldn't KO Chuvalo, of course. Liston would score the decision, if at some point he didn't do enough for the ref to step in.

Re: Liston vs Chuvalo
IMHO, in a modern, 12 round fight, Primes, George stays on his feet, but the Referee steps in to save Chuvalo before Liston gasses out. Liston by TKO in 7-9 rounds. My question is: In Chuvalo's training, did he ever practice getting up from a knockdown, or did his trainer and manager determine that would be a waste of time and energy?
Re: Liston vs Chuvalo
I wouldn't be surprised if Liston stopped Chuvalo on his feet at some point after battering him for several rounds, but if not he'd just win a clear cut decision. If Chuvalo hung in there the entire 12 or 15 rounds, he'd have his moments, but Liston was a better fighter, and he'd win any round he wasn't taking off to build up steam again.
Re: Liston vs Chuvalo
Liston either battered Chuvalo with his powerful jabs and left hooks to take a decision or late round stoppage.
