Has Dann moved to Super Middle?
He's listed on BoxRec now as a super Middle. Has he vacated and moved up?
Also is there any truth in the whispers that Enzo Maccaranelli has pulled out of the Millenium Stadium show??

Good chance that Dann and Elcock will meet after the Williams fight - in an ELIMINATOR for the British and Commonwealth Titles to see who fights Williams next!

I also see little point in fighting Elcock again. He was game, but well beaten. Dann needs a more worthy fight to give him credibility.
I think it a little presumptious to look past Williams though, who I feel may expose Dann.
Win or lose though, the fight I've always wanted is to see Dann fight Lockett. I don't think Dann would take the fight though as Lockett is far too dangerous, and Dann has a tendancy to get hit. It would be lights out for Scotty I'm afraid!!
Different promotors though, so the match won't be made.... Bloody politics

Oboh v Hogg is out for purse bids, fight has to take place by end of October. As always we will try our best to give our man home advantage.
Yes - you must back your guy. But Williams takes him!
RW is is fantastc shape apparently - and the delay will just make him even stronger as a Middleweight.
RW shold have moved up years ago!.
Scott is a good strong fighter - but RW takes him!

I'm certainly not presumptuous that Dann will beat Williams. It’s a good even match up on paper but I feel Dann will be the naturally bigger man and puncher. Also Williams has been inactive over the past couple of years, is moving up in weight and has found it difficult against southpaws.
In the past 2 years Dann has won 6 title fights and 2x8 rounders. Williams on the other hand has just boxed 1x6 rounder and 1x8 rounder against average opposition.
Dann is the fighter on the way up, Williams has just been stagnant.
I can see why Williams is called the secret as no one ever gets to see him box!

I think Dann will stop Williams, a powerful southpaw with good skills isn't the best opponent for Richard.
I can't see Dann beating Asikainen for the euro belt though, was very impressed with him winning the title. Would be a great fight to watch though but I just don't have a lot of faith in Dann's Chin

Lol, sorry Mr S I didn't mean to offend when I said 'presumptious'. I know you wouldn't take the fight unless you thought you could win it, and to be honest Richard Williams isn't the fighter he once was. It's still no fore-gone conclusion though.Jamie Sanigar wrote:I'm certainly not presumptuous that Dann will beat Williams. What I do find interesting though is that you completely avoided the subject of Gary Lockett. What is a tad presumptuous is for Dann to claim to have conquered Britain, when we still do not know which of the two IS the best at middle??

Dann v Lockett would be a great match up but as you described "politics" will probably prevent that fight happening in the near future.
Dann boxes on SKY under our promotions and Lockett & Rhodes for that matter box for allegedly on ITV. Lockett has also gone the WBU route whereas Dann will to go the more traditional route so hopefully if he beats Williams we will aim for the European Title.
You are right when you say it would be a fabulous match up, certainly one not to blink.

RW may not have had the outings the lst 18months - but he is always at a good weight and this delay will not harm him at all.
I think Dann will have lost some momentum due to the unfortunate accident he had the other day.
RW has the more reliable chin of the 2 imo.
RW is the more skilled of the 2 imo.
Dann is the bigger of the 2.
I a 100% sure RW should have been a Middleweight 3 years ago.
Always surprised me how he made 154lbs.
Lockett wold be the 1 fight I would not make for RW.
Lockett is not that good technically - but he has a great chin and great power.
Swells up like a baloon though and that would be the way to beat him.
RW KO5 Scott Dann
