Interesting choice. I'd say that would be a more winnable match than an Helenius contest and Price really needs to steer clear of anything around Helenius' level.

A decent win over Huck would extend Price's career. I'd still take something less dangerous first, even twice to try and get the confidence increased.

The serious ring injuries happen way more in fights like Patrick Day and Max Dadashev and Mago and McClellan had, where they are in there for several rounds standing up to lots of shots. Often these tragic fights are actually somewhat competitive because the beaten guy is doing enough to keep it going and not get stopped quickly. An Argentinian guy last year drew a 10 rounder then died. Z Gorres got permanantly brain injured in a fight he won. Dadashev won his final round on one of the cards. Certainly looking at individual bouts prolonged gruelling action seems much more dangerous, and that's why people say it.

Of course, getting brutally KO'd, no matter how quick or by how many shots, is bad for the brain

Someone like whyte or chisora on the other hand will take that same shot again and again with their brain rattling for 12 rounds, smashing constantly against the skull. Talking about two different things though. I was observing long term health impacts. People who ‘die on the streets’ die pretty instantly. Price isn’t dead. Comparing him and froch 20/30 years time would tell you

And regarding the future, Price wants to rebuild his career and give things a final go. The hard punching heavyweight wants to go out on his own terms.

"I started boxing when I was fourteen. I turn thirty-seven next month. Boxing has given me everything. If I put the phone down and decide I'm not going to fight again, I'd be fine with that. The man I've become, the people I've met, winning an Olympic medal," Price said.

"But I brought myself into boxing. I had to wait in the cold for a 45-minute bus ride each way when I was a kid to get to box. No one's given it to me and I've earned the right to decide when I retire."

Million percent he’s earned the right to decide when he retires.

However, every penny he’s made has been down to the fans who’ve paid for tickets, or tuned in to sky sports to watch him. As such they’ve also earned the right to have an opinion.

We all know Price can carry on fighting on the A side against hand picked opponents, but in same breath not many of us would pick him to win if he was on the B side as an opponent. And the worrying thing is with Price when he loses he gets knocked out.

If he's decided he wants some domestic level fights, domestic titles, we know he can dominate at that level. The difficult fights domestically are against guys who are competing above that anyway and won't be in the mix there. He could settle to that level and earn some good money from a few more fights and retire when he's content.

If he's hanging around thinking he could still win a big big fight and get a major title, then someone needs to be trying to save him from himself cos the odds are massively against him beating anyone at the highest levels or lasting long or finishing on his feet.

Would be a very tough job training him too as any kind of pre fight plan almost always goes out the window,he has a brilliant jab but never uses it properly and he fights in his shell,getting ko'd along the way.

Nick Webb, Luke Browne....these are the type of guys I think of when it comes to matching him to actually win. I have seen Apti Daveatev, and that would be another if they want to give Price a good shot of KOing an unbeaten scary looking guy. Apti and Luke were gonna fight before covid came.

He’s a bit of an anomaly. He’s a big punching Heavyweight who you wouldn’t put money on winning a firefight.
I wouldn’t even give him a punchers chance at European level or above. He’s reluctant to throw.
