Spencer had no business in there. W145 is the worst division in MMA and the UFC should cut it and focus on building W135.

Couple of heavy KOs on the card. I’m hoping Cody can get back to his best form 🤞🏼

UFC has a serious problem with allowing fights to go on for too long. Spencer was nothing but a battered bowl of jelly running for her life by r3, wtf is the point in another 10 mins.

I mean that's on the corner and/or the ref, not the UFC.

Definitely on her corner or ref. UFCs only point of blame is allowing her in the title bout. I don’t like these kind of fights. Woman’s boxing is similar tho. Lots of mismatches.

Yea the matchmaking was risible there. The UFC can defend it by saying that Spencer was the #2 women's FW they had in the promotion, but that's utterly meaningless when the entire division only has like 5 or 6 fighters worldwide who are even at a passable level, and half of them are signed to Bellator.

Plenty of B-tier women from the 135 pound division (McMann, Pennington, etc.) could move up and instantly be the #2 woman at 145.

I disagree, the UFC could do more to protect athletes. Corners and refs are almost never giving any mercy to overmatched fighters. Something needs done start issuing fines to corner, refs, doctors.

The refs and doctors work for the commission, the UFC has no power to fine them.

They could theoretically fine corners but I don't see that happening.

As stated above the UFC has no control over the refs or doctors. The UFC did get one referee removed from doing any of their cards IIRC. They have no power to do anything though. I doubt they can even do anything to the corners either.

The blame is on the corner for this one IMO. Herb Dean has trouble finding the correct spot to stop it. Every time Amanda tagged her a few times, Spencer either shot for a TD or fired back. Her corner was embarrassing particularly going into the 5th round. Talking about stick to the game plan. I suspect that Nunes took it a bit easier in the fifth.

Even if someone isn't the actual goat, then they're the goat in their weightclass, and if not then they're at least the goat in striking/wrasslin/beard styling. Does my fvckin head in, just lazy hype.

Yes I love athletic woman. She’s not in any way pretty facially, to me, but she’s in some shape.

This all day long.

Her corner was horrendous, esp going into that 5th. Herb was looking for any excuse to stop it. By the end I stopped seeing the sport and only saw a young lady getting bashed, I was quite upset.

Think this is the third or fourth main event recently where this has been the case. Somebody made a point that maybe the lack of crowd is affecting refs/corners decisions regarding stoppages, and I’m starting to think they’re right.

3 sub-60 second finishing to start the card last night. A few good fights, a few stinkers.

Vetorri got the sub over Roberson. It's time to get Marvin in against the top 10. He's good. He's a top guy. I thought he deserved the win over Adesanya.

Mariya Agapova looks like she'll be a great addition to 125.

Vettori looked great. I'd like to see him in a rematch against Antonio Carlos Jr. to see if he could avenge that loss.

I dunno what they're gonna do at W125. That was a good win for Calvillo but she's not ready to challenge Shevchenko. But there are no other challengers and nobody wants to see Shevchenko/Chookagian II so Calvillo might get thrown in there anyway.

Real good fight. I'm so used to fights with no crowd I think I'll be disappointed when they come back.

Burgos's chin was incredible. He ate a ton of massive shots without even reacting.
