Hearns would lead on points, Crawford would get to him later and KO him. Similarly to Leonards bout #1.

As good as Crawford is in today's welterweight division, it would be an unpopular and absurd opinion to think he could beat the Hitman who was in his prime at welterweight before the first Sugar Ray Leonard fight. First, Crawford would be in a disadvantages at 5 inches shorter than Hearns and despite having a long reach as SRL, he would be 4 inches shorter than Hearns. Second, Crawford is no Sugar Ray Leonard and never been in 15 rounds in today's fight.

The Hitman was the beast at welterweight before the first Sugar Ray Leonard fight as he would annoy Crawford with quick long left jabs and nailing him with great combinations before knocking Crawford out in 8 rounds after nailing him with a big devastating right cross.

Tend to agree. Crawford isn’t SRL. Hearns would be so much bigger and batter him into KO 8-11.

Thanks, woldemar. I don't even know the fighters like I used to. Boxing to me gotta go back to the basics:
1. One or two champs per division
2. Fifteen rounds if the fight is a mega fight
3. Eliminate corrupt judges and promoters
4. The weigh in should be in the day of the fight.
5. Eliminate all alphabet titles.

I'm high on Crawford as anyone. In fact, I favor him over Spence. But there's levels to this and Hearns and the era he fought in is too much. Crawford has a chance to stop Hearns late, but if I were a betting man, Hearns has a better chance of finishing what Gamboa hinted at. And Hearns never had trouble with any small welter let alone one that fought at lightweight.
