Hope the Beeb mean a tent that decreases the amount of Oxygen.
Long as he wins then I'm happy.
The idea of an oxygen tent I thought was to get extra oxygen into the tissues, so it would be pure oxygen he was breathing. Better not spark a fag in there or crack a particularly violent fart or he'll be sent into orbit.Max Molyneux wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/5105892.stm

Nice one for that, trying not to laugh too hard infront of my mum.Better not spark a fag in there or crack a particularly violent fart or he'll be sent into orbit.
I'm not so sure on the oxygen thing too much though. Thought they might of been imitating being up at high altitude to increase the red blood cells. The idea of an oxygen tent I thought was to get extra oxygen into the tissues, so it would be pure oxygen he was breathing.
He was 3 pounds lighter Vs Serin though.I bet he comes in even heavier for the rematch.
The winner deserves a European title shot in my opinion. Wonder why he took the rematch though when he had the mandatory until he took this rematch though. Now that bum Virchis is getting it and he couldn't even beat Sprott. And does anyone really buy Frank's line on "lining up the winner for a world title"?
I know that, but i dont think the article does.....jamesmcdonnell wrote:That isn't an oxygen tent, it's a hyperbaric chamber I believe.
In fact I was wrong, it's a barometric chamber, one where you can raise or lower the air pressure in the room. Typical floppy BBC reporting.knockout wrote:I know that, but i dont think the article does.....jamesmcdonnell wrote:That isn't an oxygen tent, it's a hyperbaric chamber I believe.
an oxygen tent as you rightly suggest increases the oxygen availible, so how the hell is that gonna "make your lungs burn"???
to me it is clear he is talking about an oxygen reduced environment
