I'd pick Schmeling. Carnera had the range and a solid jab, but he always remained open. He could look solid early, but then Schmeling's counter rights would do the business. Max by decision or late KO.

Schmeling would probably win this, mostly likely by a late round stoppage. Would be fairly competitive for a while.
