Ali for sure. I think I would lean towards Holmes for second. Norton was fifth, but had a better chin than he is often given credit for.

Of those fighters Only Joe was able to knock Ali Down.......and seriously Ali was about as affected by that knockdown as he was by the Wepner toe step KnockDown. It was not a momentary loss of consciousness, it WAS a bit of an odd juxtaposition as he was in a non stable stance at the moment of impact.

My point is not to lessen the achievement of Joe's knockdown....(something Ali could never do to Joe....although......there is that "missing minute" where one can at least wonder.....lol. Ahh how I love to bring up that oddity. )

Nevertheless I digress..........Foreman could not bring him down, Norton could not bring him down even with a broken jaw, Holmes could not bring him down, despite beating on him like he owed Ali money for what seemed like an eternity in that fight.

All those other guys had hit the deck at least once in there careers with the birdies flyin' around their faces.

Of all the shots Ali ever took, I think Shavers was the only guy to actually daze him in a way that viewers could easily detect. Though he said Foreman managed it as well. He was hurt more by Ernie and George but managed to stay on his feet. I think those shots did more to daze him than any of his Knockdowns. His KD's usually had to do with balance vs any loss of consciousness, or even dimming of consciousness

Actually when I go over the film, it looks like Ali was affected more by the "slip" that Joe imposed on him....(how's that not a knockdown again? ) Where he kinda sorta slumps. That appears to have bothered him more than the fantastic 15th rd KD that Joe put on him. Ali actually looked just as sharp in that round after the KD. Somewhat in the same way that Fury looked after Wilder floored him.

By the way, Fury may give Ali a run if he keeps it up.
