Purely self but I am glad, been a fan of his and I would like more of a memory than the Mayorga fight.... shame its sounds like just one more fight.
Reports had been suggested that the DLH press conference would be too announce his retirment after failing to get the Mayweather Jnr bout for September. Even Kassim Ouma, promoted by DLH, had been plabbing that he'd get a chance at the WBC Light Middle title soon now he's retired.
While DLH still didn't 100% confirm he will fight on, he does say he is leaning that way but it is a May date with Mayweather or nothing for him.
Here is the report from the 940 montreal site.

Oscar delays retirement.
Re: Oscar delays retirement.
cinco de mayo weekend is a natural for oscar-PBF!! along with mexican independence day (9/16) it is the biggest mexican holiday & oscar's 2 favorite weekends to fight!! plus it gives him time to heal from the 5 injuries he is now nursing!!stujones wrote:Purely self but I am glad, been a fan of his and I would like more of a memory than the Mayorga fight.... shame its sounds like just one more fight.

You said Oscar will fake retirement to build up the fight with Floyd, similar to Leonard-Hagler and to certain extent he has/is

Hmm, another year out of the ring or thereabouts, another year of the reflexes slipping. Not sure this is a great idea, but Oscar obviously cannot motivate himself for a stay busy fight this year, and doesn't want to take on Mayweather now, when it's much bigger on May 5th, when it will be HUUUUUGE!
Now, this is one fight I would LOVE to see live. The atmosphere would be absolutely amazing.
