Dear Boxrec,
When I looked up former two-time WBC Featherweight Champion Jose Legra's measurement in boxrec that his height is 5'8" which was right because he is tall at that division. However, when I looked up at his reach was listed at 63 inches or 160 cm, which didn't sound right because if his reach was 63 inches, then his arms would be short like a T-Rex arm. When I watched the film in one of Jose Legra's fights, which was against Eder Jofre and if you watch closer before the referee's instruction and the fight itself, Legra's arms is longer than this website listed. Even his two opponents former Featherweight Champion Johnny Famechon and former Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion Eder Jofre stated from the Best I Faced from Ring Magazine that both Jose Legra's arms are long.
I believe Legra's reach is about 71 (180 cm) to 73 inches (185 inches) and if you look at his fellow Cuban exile Luis Manuel Rodriguez the former World Welterweight Champion in the picture, who was tall as Legra at 5'8" and both arms had a long reach of 74 inches.
Could anyone please find out about the real reach of Jose Legra from old articles in any website and changed his reach?

What if he had narrow shoulders
Re: Jose Legra's real reach
This is something I have actually wondered about myself - after some time ago seeing that BoxRec lists his reach at only 63"!
Legra was a tall and slender boxer with long limbs - so the 63" is obviously a mistake. Maybe simply a typo - as 73" sounds more likely.

Re: Jose Legra's real reach
Thanks and I'm not the only one that notice that Legra had long arms because his long reach helped him use his jab effectively.
