ESPN shows: Excellent!

Post by jewboypgh »

Its been great to see free boxing 2x per week on ESPN.
I think these have been great cards. I love seeing the everyday guys like
Clay Collard. Man, can that kid fight.
Hope this continues.

Hats off to Uncle Bob for trying to make the best of a bad situation. There have been some great cards. Collard has been an unexpected entertainment in “the bubble,” and all of us should be grateful. The Joshua Franco victory was the highlight of this series. Loved the big upset over Greer by Mike Plania. I thought Mayer put on a good show last night. There’s no reason to be negative. Let’s just be glad we have boxing.

You really didn’t enjoy the Franco fight or the Plania upset? I mean for Tuesday and Thursday night boxing it ain’t bad.

Franco fight was really good! Enjoyed the Vences upset a lot too. Plania fight was decent too. Forget the names, but some unbeaten prospect kid got dropped and really pushed in an 8 rounder, that was good as well.

Not great cards, but there have been nice bits here and there. If you could record them and put them all onto a card or two, that would be good viewing.

Something like last night was obviouslly poo though, and even with Herring-Oquendo hardly much better

I get it. There's no sports, I'm actually surprised I can't watch them. No interest, watching beat Bobby flay instead.

We out here celebrated Clay Collard like he the greatest thing I respect what he doing. He's a tough fighter gatekeeper type but trying to prop him up like the next champ. Its' that exciting loser syndrome. It's crazy

Anyone pretending like he’s a contender is kidding themselves, but it’s fun to watch him club on some guys (and upset at least one so far) while he’s in the bubble and pandemic rages on.

He had like 4 upsets in a row. He's an mma guy. He's winning with work rate and balls but the one fight I saw he was gassed after 6.

It's only upsets record those guys are guys going anywhere. All records not equal. Just because they have a zero in the lost column in ten fights dont mean there good. Clay is better than the record suggest. My only concern is do we want good fighters in important fights or gatekeepers dominated lesser fighters in exciting fights.

I don't know really know the whole point. Its not his fault better fighters not getting meaningful fights. I don't want to see Clay Collard look great against no hoppers and then step and lose against a better fighter with a less attractive style but Clay continue get the TV slot repeating the cycle. I just more about meaningful fights and according to view numbers fans agree with me.

I haven't seen any lines for any of his fight except his last two and he was a favorite in one and underdog in one.
