Re: ESPN shows: Excellent!
I don't have a problem with it. You get fighters who want to fight.
Re: ESPN shows: Excellent!
It's a catch 22. People complaining about the fights, but they only exist because the top prima donnas don't want to fight. It's now a good platform for boxers who weren't getting a lot to begin with to get exposure and a bit of cash while the stars sit on the sidelines. And the crazy thing, is the fans who complain are the reason the top guys feel they can do this.

The best thing that can come of it is going backwards in big fighter pay. No sports athletes are as overpaid as boxing.

But then you have fighters like Crawford, who say they will not fight unless they are paid what they were before.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 09:03 The best thing that can come of it is going backwards in big fighter pay. No sports athletes are as overpaid as boxing.

That's what it looks like. They'll be a lot of top fighters retiring, or fighting much much less because they ain't getting paid the same again. Covid-19 isn't going away.oogiebe wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 10:09So let him retire.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 10:04But then you have fighters like Crawford, who say they will not fight unless they are paid what they were before.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 09:03 The best thing that can come of it is going backwards in big fighter pay. The top guys are all spoiled. Really doesn't make a difference to me if any of them fight again. It's a poor product.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 10:04But then you have fighters like Crawford, who say they will not fight unless they are paid what they were before.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 09:03 The best thing that can come of it is going backwards in big fighter pay.
