Scott Harrison comeback

Post by ShadrachSimmo »

Harrison makes his comeback fight after 7 years out and 4 years doing stir.
He takes on PBC international champ Paul Peers. Promoted by Lee MacAllister it’s on PPV for the princely sum of £1.99. Take heed Eddie!

Heard a clip of him on the radio saying he’ll win another world title. Does he really believe that?

I thought he was surprisingly good in his last comeback, where he gave Liam Walsh a pretty good fight albeit ran out of steam and lost clearly. But already that was several years back

How on earth are they funding this show ? 5 pro fights must be 20 k in purses & no gate money , £1.99 PPV will certainly not cover purses and show costs , guessing there all fighting for nothing or have I missed something ?

I have to say, not that it means anything, but for a man his age who lived the life he did, he looks in fantastic shape. His Twitter training vids are inspiring. I can't help wonder if prison did him a favour in regards to long-term health

I must admit I’d never heard of it til today. They stream loads of combat sports.

They need to sell enough tickets to pay for an opponent, to give the promoter a few quid and the rest they can keep.

Boxing 247 have confirmed the event will be broadcast live and exclusive on Fite TV (worldwide) as well as delayed broadcast in the UK ten days later on Sports Channel Network (SCN) Channel 265 on Freeview/YouView.

Looks in great shape. The boxing could be keeping him sane now. Seems to have his head on again finally. Shame he lost a few of his peak years to the drink n beak.

He seems to have been around forever.
He's also one of those people who looks older than he is as well.

It’s astonishing that it’s 2020 and we’re still talking about him as an active boxer.

There’s quite a few veterans who used to hold board licences with BIBA now

I've been using it for a few years now for a lot of wrestling events (ROH, AEW). It's quite a good service. I remember watching David Brophy's Commonwealth title win on Fite a while back.

I think they've been showing the Top Rank events from Vegas recently.
