Klitschko v Briggs

Post by Old bones Ian »

Looking on the list of fights, was surprised to see Klitschko v Briggs is set for 11th November.
Should be interesting for the first 3 rounds, Briggs lands one of his bombs in that time anything could happen

Wlad by KO7 for me. Apparently Briggs was KO'd (or at least knocked down) in sparring with Timor Ibragimov.....

Also Briggs was posting on current scene yesterday

nice match up this, i said 6 months ago that briggs was right back in the frame, but its only cos the heavyweight division is in the worst state since the days of big john tate and michael dokes etc.

as already stated, wlad needs to box smart and at length for about 4 rounds, then when shannon is blowing through his arse, i think wlad will take him out.

the only hope for shannon is to draw wlad into a brawl early doors.

Shanndaman!
yeah its me. I see you talk a lot of crap about me. Its all good. Tune in November 11th when Clitscho falls to my feet.
We'll still be talking crap. :TU:
It's going to be a sad day for you all when I KO your boy Clitscho. And as far as Ibragimov goes he didnt KO shyt. The few times we boxed he ran as I chased his scarry ass all over the ring. Nice kid, decent boxer, but in no way a KO puncher. Especially knocking me out. I'm amazed at how many of you guys find time to write bullshyt about me. Thanks to my boy Stacey someone's on my side. By the way I'm paid in full doing great and living PHAT. 2006 Maserati $1,000,000 home paid for and living the american dream. From rags to riches...From ashy to classy. Hey I should sell I hate Shannon Briggs shirts on this site.
Didn't Ko shit yet finds him Scary. :-?

Stacy his boy! :o
Hey dude as long as you pay for a ticket I dont care what you think. 1.5 to knock out glass joe is an early christmas for me and my team.
Maybe his 1.5 million will buy him a chin implant for when Wlad breaks it. Wlad needs one too though.
Never happened my dude. Hey Nov 11th you'll have a new heavyweight champion to look up too. By the way if you check the books my name is mentioned in the same books as Jack Johnson, Muhammed Ali, Larry Holmes. Seriously check it out. Linear Heavyweight Champion of the world. I have the belt right here. I'm looking at it right now. Boy it's beautiful. Actually I'm looking at nine of my belts. I'm back haters. Fourteen years strong!!!
He was linear already yet some thought Foreman deserved to win at 48! I don't want to look up to this guy! He can look at his bum titles all he wants, their just jewlery to proper fans.
Where do you get this my jaw isnt all that crap? I fought Big George and took his best shots. Lennox hit with huge shots and I got up everytime. In fact I only went down because of exhaustion. Same with Darroll Wilson. Punch myself out. Not to mention I was born with asthma. You guys are insane. Get your facts straight. I've had 51 fights, ben doing this a long time. Where is all of your so called contenders from the 90's? Punchy and broke. Tua wont fight me. Brock turned me down. Peter wont fight me. No one else makes sense. By the way Koval and Ryan will never be the same. And didnt one of you smart guys pick Koval to beat me? Didnt he drop Dementreko and go 12 rounds? Dont hate me because I'm fly and flashy. I'm me. Your you.
When it's due you can credit him for fighting with Asthma no matter who he fights.

Nah I didnt realize that. I keep looking at the belt and the Rocky Marciano award and saying wow. I'm going down in history and when I KO Glass Joe your going to find some new way to hate so guess what it doesnt stop. Hey by the way have you been to my website http://www.shannonbriggs.com I've updated the photo gallery. It's hot check it out and get off of here hating.
The same belt Sugar Ray Rob sold to feed his alcohol problem.
My dude its me you idiot. Stacey put me on to this forum stuff. It's kinda cool but the haters are too many. I'm going over to a more shannon briggs friendly site. Nah just kidding I love the hate lets me know I'm doing the right thing. I fought my way back to the title. Eleven KO's straight. Nov.11th Glass Joe retires.
Hahah Satcy Goodson, what a pudendum.
Dude its me already, what the hell you want me to do post my phone number? its me I'm home watching Mesi look like shyt.
Wlad will make him look as bad. :box:

I thought you might of been joking at first since I barely read the current scene since I want intellect, not comedy but it;s true! :o

And what exactly has Briggs done to deserve a shot?

Is the HW pool really this shallow?

I looked through his record and by the time they fight it will be 9 years to the month since Briggs' last decent result (the controversial win over Foreman). Losses to Lennox, Sedrick Fields & McCline, a draw with Botha and wins over a bunch of no names plus a 44 year old Mercer bring him to a world title shot.

If the carousel of contendors is this depleted let's hope John McDermott is keeping himself in tip top shape in case he gets THE call.

I should not let the state of the HW div upset me i should just ignore it.
Thing is i'll be in New York for this match and i was conjuring with thoughts of permutations of Castillo/Cotto/Hatton/Mayweather for my first visit to Madison Square Garden so this is quite the letdown.

Oh and i ventured to the current scene for the first time in months to read that Shannon Briggs thread. I made it to page 3 before i had to jump in the shower with a coarse scrubbing brush. Can anyone beat that?
