Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia - November 2020
The coronavirus situation has been a blessing in disguise for Errol Spence Jr.
It has allowed him to take thirteen months to recover and regain his fitness levels after suffering from mental trauma and injuries due to his alcohol-fuelled car crash.
If the bout had taken place during late January, as previously mentioned in the article above, then Danny Garcia would have had an excellent chance at upsetting ‘The Truth’.
The inactivity in the sporting calendar has also resulted in his biggest rival, the near 33-year-old Terence Crawford, to not only be inactive, but also be a year further away from his physical prime.
As the clock keeps ticking, Spence Jr’s chances of beating Crawford keeps improving.

Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia - November 2020
I see nothing wrong with this fight at all. Easily the most solid Welterweight fight announced since the pandemic. I actually give Spence high praise for fighting a top 5-6 welterweight all things considered. Danny Garcia is no easy task for anyone in the division and is a high risk fight at any time, especially for a guy like Spence with so many question marks considering we haven't seen him fight since he was in a pretty bad accident.
I still favor Spence based on his previous fights, but a little slippage could lead to a big upset here.

I share these thoughts. I also believe Garcia beat Porter, in a very close fight. Of course we all want Spence Crawford but this is a top fight.NateJR wrote: ↑29 Jul 2020, 07:25 I see nothing wrong with this fight at all. Another trashy PBC PPV. At least if Canelo fights a no-hoper like Murata, it's only $20 for a month of DAZN and then you can watch other stuff on their platform. I'm not paying $75 to see if Spence suffered enough permanent damage in his car crash to actually make this fight competitive.

I remember when Fergus asserted that Spence would never fight again. Habitual Rimmer and liar.

I remember that. But you just never know. Spence didn't break any bones but an accident like that could've shuffled up and altered his body forever. Maybe this is the fight we find out.

Isnt surviving some big scary accident like that supposed to give you some superpower or extra sense or something, maybe Spence will be able to predict what punches his opponents throw before they even think of throwing them ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)

Fans seriously worried about Errol Spence Jr. mental state after gun video
World Boxing News 30. 7. 2020
Welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. has been posting more videos than usual of late, some of which have fans concerned about his mental well-being.
Eight months on from a car accident that nearly killed him, Spence is enjoying life on a ranch and giving his followers a glimpse into his new lifestyle.
But a more recent post, dated July 29, saw Spence riding around with a loaded AR-15 rifle.
Spence claimed it was due to coyotes trying to kill some of his calves, although the nature of his social media activity has caused significant worry.
Replies to Spence immediately compared him to Jermain Taylor, who had a public meltdown in 2014.
Taylor was given a suspended 19-year prison sentence at the time for allegedly shooting a family member.
Some believe Spence is not one hundred percent since his near-death experience, with one stating: “I really hope he still the same after the accident.”
Whilst others expressed their hope that something more serious wasn’t going on with Spence.
‘Boxers with guns = bad idea,” stated a further post.

Seemingly rambling in the clip, Spence has a different look about him these days. But that’s not to say anything untoward is going on.
It’s just concerned fans expressing their views that the unified title-holder may need to take things a little easier.
Others are also worried about the fact Spence is in charge of a vehicle after the awful events of October last year.
“Is he riding a bike? This guy is going to ruin his career forever,” stated one post.
ERROL SPENCE JR LONGER TERM
Chasing coyotes with a gun during his downtown is not the norm for any boxer, in reality. But it’s the incoherence from Spence which seems to be causing the most worry.
What the longer-term effects of that highly serious incident in Texas last year will be down the line is anyone’s guess.
“That car accident messed the boi up. Wear your seatbelt people,” said another, whilst a final one pulled no punches.
“The f— is wrong with you guy? You’re a world boxing champion and you running around acting like you’re from the streets. And with a gun like a dumb—. Get yo s— together!”

I thought he was a city boy. So does he live on a countryside ranch or something?
Re: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia - November 2020
Errol can edge it easier than he has done against Porter.

Yea unless Spence has really lost a huge step in the car accident, I would expect him to win by a near shutout or stoppage.

I think 2019 Spence beats him by 118-110 type cards. We'll see what 2020 Spence can do.

Not in disagreement that Errol wins clearly, Danny has become a bit unappreciated. I'd give him 2-4 rounds. If anybody shut him completely down it would be bud.jujigatame wrote: ↑01 Aug 2020, 20:39I think 2019 Spence beats him by 118-110 type cards. We'll see what 2020 Spence can do.
