Sam Eggington vs. Ted Cheeseman - 1 August 2020

Hope the old cheeseman turns up. I think he can box to a win but if he comes in slugging this could be such a good scrap. Never can gauge eggington right me. His limitations are there for all to see and sometimes he fights thick as fornicate, but his career has been peppered with surprising performances. Never seen anyone beat down glenn foot the way he did, and his last couple of results are very good. Wouldn't bet in this fight.

If he boxes like he did against fitz he should get it done on points then.

I dont think so. Eggington is the hearns boy and Cheeseman doesn't look that good on the backfoot. It's boring and he looks a bit ungainly and doesn't land much. I've got Sam winning this one. Eggington is actually the better inside fighter here. Much tighter shots and dips nicely. Cheeseman ain't that good.

Normally i would agree but he looked good enough against Fitzgerald to have won it. Very close fight. He didnt look natural on the backfoot but he looked effective and disciplined. Maybe if fitz had pushed on him a bit more and sooner it may have have been a different story. Its an interesting fight, but a hard one to call.

think it could be close this fight , tear up in the middle of the ring after a few rds, i think cheese will put it on him egg will back off to ropes were the action will be , then i think egg will stand his ground , think cheese will win , close

pretty much how i thought , i cant see these 2 boys lasting more than couple of years , i think cheese lacks landing shots, cant explain it he other wise has small arms or his distances off . i hate writing stuff like this ,iam cheese fan but if he wins a european belt think will be fantasic. got to admit i love sam what a warrior whish he had a start in boxing like most of the pros had

Sam has had an eight year career and 35 fights with people saing hewont last that long most aggressive fighters have shorter careers so if he is still fighting in a couple of years heel have had more fights than most british level guys and a ten year career.Eventually people will be right tho and his style will catch up and shorten his career lol.

A lot of people after 8 years and a lot less fights with better a defence are showing much more wear and tear.

Many good judges said saturday Sam looked better than ever adding things to his game.

i agree in a way, but sam is going to used as a gate keeper fighter so he will have to fight quailty in every fight, look at his record he has fought a lot of good pros, that isnt meant as a disrepected either just you cant have wars with good fighters every fight

I keep him busy with learning fights in between and we have turned down a few fights which didnt suit at time.Even if Sam finished in 3 fights time hes had a much longer and more successful career than most predicted for him.His nature andstyle will only ever be really one way and if hes not that way heel struggle thru lack of experence, Sam will probably have another couple of years and thern call it a day most aggresive high energy fighters finish earlier anyway so we wont be pushing him too far.But at the moment hes enjoying his fights and still got a few upsets in his tank i beleive

you know what mate i wouldnt even class them as upsets because, sams a good fighter ,and if you aint on your game you aint winning
