Re: Welterweights : Felix Trinidad vs. Pipino Cuevas
This is a toss up. Whoever hits first is the winner. Both were great finishers when they got their man hurt.
Pipino Cuevas may have the edge in chin and maybe punching power, but Felix "Tito" Trinidad have the edge in speed and stamina.
I will lean with Pipino, but I am not too sure about that. It took a monster like the great Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns to take his crown. Hearns would have also done the same to Tito.
If Pipino drops him like the other opponents did to Tito before, this time, he is not getting up. Pipino would finish him right there and then in a hurry. There would be no second chance for Tito in this one if he gets dropped like in other fights.

Trinidad with his longer reach outboxes Pipino then ko's him...but not without a scare or a knockdown by Pipino first.
Re: Welterweights : Felix Trinidad vs. Pipino Cuevas
As great as Pipino Cuevas was at Welterweight, his opponents whom he successfully defended his title before losing to an all-time legend in Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns were not in the level of Felix "Tito" Trinidad.
Anyways, Tito by KO 5 after nailing Pipino with a greater left hook.

Tito in about 3. His boxing ability and handspeed are underrated.

I have Tito in the middle rounds. He’d know to respect Cuevas’ power and box early until he heir into his rhythm. Once that happened and he started stringing those power combinations together, Cuevas wouldn’t have the skill set to keep him off him.
