Hamed v Harrison

Both men burned very brightly for a while - had some big nights, won some big fights - but they also had their demons and perhaps did not achieve the heights they were destined for.

Hamed was the showman - both in and out of the ring - with the more exuberant skills and personality.
But the Scotsman Harrison was bullishly strong, technically accomplished and very effective indeed when focussed.

The fight is made at Featherweight - both men are prime and in a good frame of mind - so who have you got?

Personally I think Harrison is the British Featherweight who gets closest to Hamed...he was big, organised, mentally tough and if Hamed makes a mistake he gets punished and pays.

Harrison was a tough guy but IMO Hamed was better.

It would be competitive fight and IMO Naseem win by decision (9-3 or 8-4)

Naz wide decision seems right, I think Naz is only losing to the elite of the world. Harrison had the stuff to give him one of his tougher nights though and to actually make him know he's been in a fight

I think Harrison takes Hamed to the cards myself and it is actually an MD with a rematch called for.....big Scotty was a brute of a featherweight, technically very polished and tactically smart.

He would have not been remotely spooked by Hamed either.

I think the difference is just the odd, fast flurry of punches from Hamed to nick some close rounds.
I don't see Harrison being bowed or even that bust-up...he could even be chasing Hamed down at the end.

For me it is intriguing....right up there with Benn-Calzaghe, Froch-Eubank or Fury-Lewis.

I think Harrison may have lost the rag with Naz and would have lost for that reason. Hamed was always smirking and clowning around in the ring. It was almost as if it was just about him and the opponent was only there to make up the numbers. I think that might have been too much for Scott to take. Good match though, Harrison was indeed a powerhouse.

Hamed's ability to properly irk Harrison should not be underestimated, could see a scenario of some points deducted which in turn could be the difference.

Having said that I would have loved to see how Hamed dealt with Harrison working his way in and how Naz dealt with a few rounds of serious, sustained pressure.
