Way I see it weed should not be tested for, its not such a harmful substance and doesnt give any competitive edge. Other substances such as cocaine, amphetamin etc should however not be allowed in a fighters system.

Yes but weed is a gateway drug. If a person uses marijuana, then they can’t help themselves from using cocaine, amphetamines, steroids and clenbuterol.H8Usernames wrote: ↑04 Aug 2020, 09:39Way I see it weed should not be tested for, its not such a harmful substance and doesnt give any competitive edge. That’s the same as claiming that anyone that enjoys the odd beer or two now and then, is automatically compelled to start drinking 89% premium reserve Absinthe.lazboy wrote: ↑05 Aug 2020, 06:10Yes but weed is a gateway drug. There isn't any testing being performed for the Tyson-Jones Jr. exhibition, though that may change due to safety concerns.
I believe discussions are currently being held between CSAC and VADA, but nothing has been agreed yet and neither fighter has been tested.

Jones won his last 4 and held a minor cruiser belt when he retired 2 years ago. Tyson lost last 2 by KO 15 years ago. Still might be fun

I believe, they have to do their best, since their legacy and name is on the line .Enlightened-One wrote: ↑03 Aug 2020, 05:40 Tyson and Jones Jr. won’t be punching at full power. They aren’t going to try to take each others’ heads off.
At best, it’ll be a competitive par. They’re going to moving around the ring and nothing more.
Both fighters are going to abide by the CSAC rules they agreed to, regardless as to whatever they may currently tell the media to help sell the event.
Neither man will make any attempt whatsoever to stop their opponent. And neither fighter will have their arm raised at the end of the bout, since no fighter can technically “win” anything from this exhibition.
The only dramatic thing that may happen, is that the exhibition is stopped prematurely if one of the fighters gets cut (no matter how slight that injury may be), because that is part of the CSAC’s rules for a public sparring session between two fighters in their fifties.
If you're expecting otherwise, something much more, you'll be disappointed.
In terms of a “moral” victory, such as the public perception of whom did better, then it’s a double-edged sword.
If Tyson somehow outperforms Jones Jr., then this would likely be a result of his David versus Goliath size advantage.
And if Jones Jr. is perceived as looking better, then he had youth and long-term fitness on his side, because Tyson hasn’t been involved in boxing or any athletic sport for fifteen years or so.
The bottom line is that this exhibition is utterly meaningless – it doesn’t mean a damn thing and shouldn’t affect either fighters’ legacies.

No they're not.
Re: RJJ v Mike Tyson Sep 12th Predictions
It’s an exhibition between 2 shot fighters in their 50s, they’ll just try and get through it without collapsing, their names and legacy are not on the line at all just like they haven’t been for any top boxer taking part in an exhibition.cj wrote: ↑13 Aug 2020, 02:33I believe, they have to do their best, since their legacy and name is on the line .Enlightened-One wrote: ↑03 Aug 2020, 05:40 Tyson and Jones Jr. won’t be punching at full power. I'd be genuinely surprised if even 1 punch is thrown with KO intent.

I thought this 'bout' had been cancelled?
Something flashed up on my phone about 2 days ago saying it had been cancelled, but I didn't click on the link to read into it because I'm sick of getting doctored clips of Tyson hitting pads and bags.

I am a lifelong fans of both these guys and it's just sad when great fighters give everything they have only to turn into caricatures. I watched Larry Holmes fight Butterbean and I'm still traumatized from it. Prime Jones might legit be the best boxer I ever saw. https://miketysonfight.weebly.com/
