Nah, I'd bet on AJ still having the bigger support. We only get a certain picture communicating with each other, the wider world of not so hardcore fans will lean AJ. Way bigger crowds, more followers on every channel, etc etc

Fury has done a fantastic job of promoting himself over the last 2 years and to add the small matter of smashing up Wilder he's got a much bigger fanbase now .

Needs must at times and it might be the best way to make a pile of cash going forward, can't see the Whyte fight doing much for PPV and could be the way to sell studio fights if crowds are still kept away

- Fury put on two fan friendly shows v Schwarz and Wallin and had the fans purring with his showbiz approach (Apollo Creed ring walks and crooning American Pie afterwards etc).

- Fury established himself as the main man at heavyweight by demolishing Wilder. Love him or loathe him that was a jaw-dropping performance against an unbeaten champion. He’s now a pretty warm favourite in the betting to beat AJ and has all the momentum.

- The ITV mini-series was a PR master stroke. Fury’s popularity went through the roof after that and him giving €200 euros to buy them lobsters and then release them back into the sea showed what he’s all about as a human being.

- His social media stuff during lockdown - in stark contrast to the AJ ‘buy black’ comments - has gained him yet more followers and admirers. Doing pads on the beach in Morecambe the other day with Big John and 200 people watching in a circle!

Agree with this. All of my mates are ‘casual fans’ and have all gone from AJ fans to Fury fans. Whilst AJ was protesting at BLM marches Fury was doing live work outs and webcam chats with anxiety sufferers. He’s not daft. The fact 95% of his social media stuff comes from himself makes him more relatable IMO. You get to know the ‘real’ Fury, as was the case with the ITV series.

Most of the persons really irked by that was prob well behind Fury before anyway between the 2 of them (and lol they probably dissed AJ before for being too media trained, but now get all upset). AJ is still the king with the fans and the media machine, it will be apparent in the indicators, as it already has been

All true, whether Fury does a little beach training or not (he's being doing that for years btw....even years ago he let people call his personal phone and also went out for runs with fans)
