Why did Groves and Booth part ways?

I'm assuming it was over money? Has the full story ever come out?

I heard something along the lines of Booth wasn't investing enough time in George. And then apparently the last straw was when Booth didn't turn up to the presser announcing the Froch fight without telling Groves beforehand, although he (allegedly) told Eddie. I don't know how reliable that is though, or whether it's the whole story.

I was actually in the gym on the last day GG was there.

Its not for me to go into the ins & outs ... but what I will say in my humble opinion I truly cannot stand GG. Of course totally my point of view.

I was totally delighted Callumn Smith whooped him in Saudi Arabia and I was there to see it.

Spud, You need to elaborate now! Why such a dislike?

Slightly off topic your insight and contribution on here is always greatly appreciated as you know a lot of boxing info etc.

I mean you say you can't stand a dude, so what's so bad about saying a little why. Lol people always be doing that, well so and so is a c@nt. But surely it would be too egregious to say a bit about why!

The old "i-know-something-you-don't" routine from Spud. The tosser used to do this all the time.

I‘ve never met Groves. He comes across well on social media, humorous and articulate.

The way he totally blamed Paddy Fitzpatrick for the loss to Froch did show a lack of class.

Degale struck me as a decent bloke but just a bit thick. You could see his heart sank when the crowd was booing him during the introductions of the Groves fight. This showed a total lack of self awareness. He'd acted like a plum in the lead up and the crowd was only going to favour one fighter after that.

Gentlemen, gentlemen

Despite all these years some are still bitter and twisted & cannot manage to post without their insults.

As for someone calling me a mug ...

20 years working in the sport has seen me work on shows in:

Germany
Las Vegas
Sochi - Russia
Moscow - Russia
Riga - Latvia
Saudi Arabia

As well as working for the former heavyweight champion of the world

I could go on ...

Where as some of you guys are still stuck behind your keyboards resorting to your internet bullying ways with your insults.

The point is that Spud is suggesting that he knows, taps nose, but won't say.

Spud has a lot of form for this

Its a boxing forum open to the public. Not calling the man out bit if he knows then maybe a lot more folk know. Maybe they just didnt get on and it was a parting of the ways? It probably isnt that important to know now anyway. Maybe when the books come out you will see 2 sides.
