Justin is the only possible one. McGregor did better than most of the boxers he fought.

How about Tony Ferguson? That guy is incredibly tough, and he has a very long reach.

Also Khabib? Everyone underestimates his boxing, he almost KOed Conor in the second round with his right.

And Khabib is very tough too, he took this from Michael Johnson like its nothing. (Johnson is a southpaw)

The good thing with that shot he took.. He saw the punch coming and started moving his head backwards, so there was less impact..

Yeh, hyped that he landed more punches than most of his previous opponents..

Even though Floyd "carried" Con through a few rounds, just waited for 25 mins to pass then took over.. Con hardly ever goes full 5 rounds in UFC, only seen round 4 twice I think?

The guy who just got destroyed boxing with gaithjie?. No, he wouldn't do well at all. Elbows aren't allowed. Do you watch fights?

Khabib would get clowned.

Yeah I do, do you? ''Gaethje'' used low kicks to distrupt Tony's movements, then he started to punch him, it wasn't only boxing. Tony also almost KOed Gaethje with an uppercut, the bell saved Gaethje.

You think Conor did great, while Conor almost got KOed by Khabib's punch in the second round as well, how is he going to get clowned? Khabib is more durable as well.

Yeah, I accept your surrender

Also Poirier outboxed Gaethje, Gaethje only countered him with low kicks.

None of them would do much, Old Floyd carried Connor and IMO toyed with him easily. Khabib wouldn’t land a punch.

It doesn't look like toying though, unless you believe a defensive fighter like Floyd took this on purpose. :D

Oh look, old Floyd got hit by ‘a’ punch in a boxing match

It had no effect tho did it?

You're both right. He carried him, but Floyd would never let someone snap back his head. McGregor surprised him. I thought he was impressive.

I’m not saying he let him, but it never happened again. I wasn’t impressed with Conner but I was with Floyd as he’s ancient.

Yeah but floyd ACTUALLY trained for Canelo. He (rightly) didn’t take Conor seriously. He knew he was no threat whatsoever. When was the last time floyd walked down a bigger man behind a high guard? He was giving the fans a show. Barely threw a jab or moved his head for 4 rounds. I don’t get the fascination with crossover fights, a boxer will win at boxing, an MMA fighter will win in MMA. Providing it’s evenly matched obv

McG obviously did better than most Floyd opponents, it's a sore spot for sure with a lot of people. It may well have been the worst version of Floyd we've seen, he may have not taken dude seriously etc, but it still happened.

Floyd knew two things; 1- Conor didn't have stamina to fight for 12 rounds, 2- Conor doesn't even have stamina to win the last rounds in UFC, so Conor is not only unfamiliar with 12 rounds, he never had a good stamina amongst the UFC fighters. Which is why Floyd won.

But fighters like Khabib, Ferguson etc. have far better stamina than Conor.

As they said, Conor didn't even have the stamina to keep up with Nate Diaz in the last rounds.

You guys are underestimating Khabib's striking ability;

''He impressed me stand up.''

''Oh yeah he cracked Conor with that big right hand''

''He landed the bigger shot, there was one big giant shot that was landed in that fight, it was by his hand.''

Even Joe, (who usually is not a big fan of Khabib), still admits Khabib's striking ability against Conor.

Doesn’t matter how good the MMA guys are at striking because boxing is a completely different skill set, the footwork and upper body movement are the foundation for everything in boxing and takes years to master, they cant compete and visa versa

mma guys are also training in boxing professionally, in fact, I would say boxing + grappling / takedown defenses are the most important 2 things in mma.

But I agree it's a different boxing because you need to watch out for kicks and takedowns while boxing in mma, but we've seen former professional mma fighters such as Ray Mercer, Ryan Ford, Fábio Maldonado turned out to be really good pro boxers as well, so I wouldn't talk certain.
