85-86
Fenech fought a 26-0 Coffee and an 11-0-1 Steve McCrory at Bantamweight and squeezed Daniel Zaragoza 28-3 in between them at Super Bantamweight and beat them all by stoppage.

Beat Azumah, officially a draw.

Marquez had fought around the Bantamweight division for years.
Well schooled experienced boxer, I saw him fight Nishioka in Vegas.

If you catch a boxer like Fenech during his prime there's a good chance you'll lose.
If you catch him on the way up it's very risky, if you catch him on the way down you'll do better.

If both were prime on their best night I'd take Fenech.

Nice matchup, Marquez had more tools I feel, but Fenech just brought such strength and output and toughness that I feel he could edge it in a hard bloody fight

Something funny about this fight: I always heard Fenech won and was robbed but personally, when I finally got around to see it on youtube, a couple years ago, I had it a tie too! I expected Fenech to run away with it but just didnt see it that way at all.

That said, I like Fenech in this one. He just had a little more than Marquez.
