Golota was a superior boxer and had a hard punch, while Weaver was quite vulnerable. Golota would use his range, jab and combos. Weaver would be outboxed and KOed by the mid-later rounds.

Weaver for me...….Golota frequently found a way to implode in critical, marquee fights.

The guy had all the tools....he was the first big, Eastern European to emerge on the HW pro scene who could handle the Americans with his size, strength and some decent technical ability.....but even his own team thought he had a screw loose and it was a fatal, recurring flaw that can't be ignored.

that is kind of what I was thinking. Somehow, someway, Golota would blow it.

Golota would have his moment of out-boxing and out-punching Weaver in the earlier rounds, but Weaver would come back to hurt Golota in the later rounds with jabs and body punches before knocking him out in 14 rounds as Golota would blow this fight more than Big John Tate did.

Andrew Golota was a nutcase. In the heat of a battle, even if he's winning the fight, somehow or someway he tends to blow it up. I don't know why. He had some tremendous set of skills for a big man. Maybe he needed mental toughness?
