Spud certainly caused some rucks back in the day, this forum was like the Wild West in comparison to today, good times

Where is DG?
DG is buried under my patio after referring to me as
Carey the pudendum , as a Turkish name spelt backwards. Another keyboard warrior.

But as KG, and the air hostess banging Deserter suggest, surely its time to bring back Shaggy Dog Dooley. I’ve seen pubs during full lockdown looking more lively than this forum.

We’ve drawn a line in the sand here, lads.... the revolution starts here.... if the mods can’t help poor old Terry remember his password then I don’t know if i can continue to post here.

The revolution will not be televised. That’s true, but it needs to be documented

If you are worried that the bloke you are sucking off in a pub toilet might be gay, then you need to reassess why you are doing it.

I mean, it does seem kinda totally f@cked up when dudes like that Eubank obsessive or boxtune (for the current scene dudes) can post here but Terry cant. But I like posting here so I wont say much more

Saudi Arabia

As well as working for the former heavyweight champion of the world

I could go on ...

Where as some of you guys are still stuck behind your keyboards resorting to your internet bullying ways with your insults.

The only time KG gets flustered is when he's having a power wank at work upon realising he hasn't got any bog roll. Me personally, I'm furious Spud missed off Huddersfield Leisure Centre and Ponds Forge. But he's contributed more in one post than you have Fizzjambo in 10 years. Imagine being that irelevant.

He is the proud tea-boy at boxing events. Known for making a cuppa for Mick Hennessey. Plenty of sugar. His reputation for making a cuppa was so good that he got scouted by the Saudi's where as he says he got to enjoy GG getting done by Smith.
He made it further than you though, Leonard? Reckon your 5 minutes was up ages ago, despite you combing your hair to go on telly. It just took the suits a little longer than us to realise you were full of shit.

Well this thread certainly went down an alternative route !

Now I've finished pissing my pants with laughter at the posts and being completely soaked through, one thing I'd like to chip in is the bit about Paddy getting it in the neck about Groves losing to Froch in the rematch.

I thought Groves was boxing Froch's head off until Carl pulled out that thunder bolt of a right hand.

Can you really legislate for the punch of a lifetime ? Anyone else see the fight that way ?

I thought he was hurting Groves a bit more each round and I could see Groves legs going. The finishing punch was the coup de grace and Froch was setting him up for it.

I reckon it was Paddy's idea to throw the check left hook. Ultimately a well timed straight right hand will land before the left hook if both thrown simultaneously. It took Froch 9 rounds to figure out that he could starch Groves that way. I reckon Groves blames Paddy for giving him that advice. This is all speculation though. Groves went after Paddy in interviews and you could say he ended Paddy's career at top level. Other fighters weren't going to go with Paddy after the bad publicity from George. George definitely seemed to be going hard on Paddy. He was giving out about Paddy wearing flip-flops in the gym in this interview

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxin ... r-old.html

‘The man showed up for a seven-week training camp without trainers,’ he said. ‘He showed up at the gym in flip-flops; how is he going to hold pads in flip-flops?

My name is not Leonard, I can assure you you have wrong person. You seem to be as thick as a plank of wood. I remember you were in cahoots with Spud and ran a few forums into the ground before you both got ran off the ESB and Doghouse forums. You used to both badmouth this forum but look where you ended up.

That 'plank of wood' has distorted your memory Lenny. Can't remember your own name, but recall the ins and outs of ESB and Doghouse? Anyone would have thought you got banned and had an axe to grind. I'd elaborate but Ashford and Simpson have just come on.

Good to see the old crew bros are on fire !! taking the BANTER levels through the roof as ever !

Such is their high level of rib tickling repartee, it’s like having 20 Alan Partridge’s in the same room.

Grove is very much his own man and didn’t buy into booth’s cult like persona. Spud doesn’t have a clue by the way, a delusional gopher with zero self-awareness

I am not claiming to know everything that went on that led to the break up .... but its a FACT that I know some of the factors.

I was in the gym on the very last day Groves visited Hayemaker HQ

Its because of that last night I cannot stand Groves.

As for being a delusional gopher ... its a fact many boxing fans would have given their right arm to have the experiences I have had in boxing ...indeed one of my jobs at Hayemaker HQ was sifting through the many applications of people who wanted my job.

Keep the insults coming

THANK YOU to those who have PM’d me messages of support.

Spud, it's obviously a sensitive subject (between Groves and Booth) but could could you drop a broad clue as to where the split stemmed from ?

Amount of time spent with each other, money, differing views on training, personality clash, ethics etc Nothing specific, just general.

Good to see Spud back in the action,
Yes he did work for various promoters, was not a licence holder, enjoyed his boxing, I 1st met him when we was in aldershot with Julius Francis training for Tyson fight, then Frank allowed him to follow us to Manchester, frank liked him, gave him some driving wotk, till he had a car crash with boxers inside, but he is a nice guy, Loved to think he was security, we had some laughs, GIVE HIM CREDIT!!

Yeah well the way you tell the story it’s certainly an epic rags to riches story that doesn’t get the credit it deserves. You’d only have to add a kettle thrown over a pub to the car crash and the pretend security to make it the perfect narrative arc.
