London suggestions?
So two months in the 'big smoke' now, though my dreams of a summer of live sport clearly bit the dust for obvious reasons.
Part of the attraction of moving here was being in a boxing hotbed - live shows, being able to visit gyms and watch boxers training etc so indulge me in a bit of COVID escapism here gents....
When we pop out the other side of this thing, what are your recommendations? Will obviously do the big shows and would love to go back to the York Hall as haven't been there since i saw Carl Froch vs Brian Magee (!), but want to go along and support some some am shows etc as well (I'm living in Bermondsey so I'm guessing Fisher ABC and/or Lynn ABC will be staging shows locally at some point in the future). Also feel that the likes of Repton and the Peacock are a must as and when they allow visitors, as for a boxing fan that would feel a bit like a pilgrimage given everything I've seen and read about them over the years.
Finally, humour an old man, but there seem to be some unique opps to train with some amazing figures in the sport. No delusions of grandeur here (only had 11 am fights and that was a more than 20 years ago!) and already signed up to Gymbox at Elephant & Castle for regular fitness training, but have a couple of mates who speak highly of doing it as a one-off or series of sessions, just for the insights and knowledge. One said Darren Barker was brilliant when he went to 12x3 Boxing, but the prices there seem to be eye-wateringly expensive (they haven't reopened yet either).
Any thoughts/suggestions welcomed!

Thanks for taking the time to reply Coco
My mate has done a couple of sessions with Adam Booth at Rathbone and said he's a great guy, but I think the gym you're on about is out in Surrey isn't it?

It's actually closer to me than the other two so will definitely check it out.

Yeah the gym is out in Surrey, so it couldn't be an every day thing but a weekend thing maybe. Train at Fitzroy during the week and enjoy country life at the weekend!

At Fitzroy while yo can obv train, it's the type of gym where a lot of people drop in so you can meet and mix with plenty of boxers.

Speaking of the amateurs hopefully the Tokyo Olympic Box-offs will return to the Copper Box and fans will be allowed in. Worth putting in your diary.

If you can travel, I’ll show you some good gyms and faces. Less than 2 hours from Kings Cross and an incredible tourist city to boot. Cheap at the minute as well.
Even got Crawford Ashley training in Lee Murtaghs gym, 30 minutes away and Wharton has 5 pros now. He’ll have me in, though.

Deserter trading the sun for London? This is a bigger story than Dillian Whyte ditching Mark Tibbs.
