Whytes Attitude

Post by coneye »

Could'nt help but notice ,, Ruiz gloating over Whytes loss ,, Arum saying he got what he deserved , Chisora sending congrat messages to Pov ,,,,, Basicly he does'nt seem that popular ,, do you think his arrogance , and bad attitude was a front to sell tickets , or he really did believe his own publicity and refused to believe he was in that position , because matchroom chose to put him there

Of course, his smack talk is for promotion, but Whyte is doing the right thing and he's doing it well.

However, Chisora is himself like that and he probably isn't exactly blaming Whyte, he just have good relationship with Povetkin. They sparred before Whyte-Chisora I. And Povetkin said, he had been supposed to spar Chisora again before his Whyte bout, but that had become impossible because of the pandemics.

P.S. I'll never forget that table throw before Whyte-Chisora I.

It’s not for show. Dillian has gone on about his “roadman” crap for years. Now he’s been sparked.

I was perplexed when Bunce and Constello, as well as the Sky team, were insisting that Whyte was the nicest guy in boxing. He comes off as a thuggish prick if you ask me, refusing to shake hands, and Eddie Hearn saying it was good that Whyte wasn't staying in the hotel with Pov because he is the kind of guy who would attack him on sight.

He trained for a few days at my old gym in Germany and everyone loved him though, so who knows.

From all the coverage he comes across as a decent guy to me, just with a hell of an edge (unsurprising given his upbringing, assuming it was as shit as he makes out).

Pretty sure Whyte was one of the first to gloat when Joshua and Wilder got stopped and I imagine he wasn't too complimentary about Ruiz's effort in the AJ rematch

I've not watched any Whyte interviews but from what I've read he's been quite gracious which deserves kudos, nothing worse than an arrogant twat in denial, take note Wilder

Bunce has kissed whytes backside ever since he was denied access to him after calling him out over the positive test.
On last week's podcast he said Whyte was probably the smartest and most articulate fighter, this directly after Whyte called Pov a credit and great ambassador to the sport.

Bunce kisses everyone's arse when he interviews them. Hes the complete opposite of the straight talker he says he is. I also find all the talk about him managing boxers complete nonsense. The idea that Whyte would know how to manoeuvre a fighters career when people like Hearn, Warren, Duff etc have found it hard enough, is a joke. Theres no way that Whyte's fighters go to him before Hearn. If they do it's to get Hearn's phone number.

agreed

however this regular diatribe of DW`s life on IFL is not doing him any favours , the content is totally shit . they spent at least half an hour filing inside his motor home basically bull shit promo .

and what about him and his so clever team taking the piss copying povetkins wardrobe ?
idiots

DW is a top 30 HW but not elite ie say top 10 .

His antics are embarrassing, just like Chisora. Sick of these 2 getting lauded as top level heavyweights by Hearn - they're both European level.

I kind of have some chats with him and has always come off as a relatable guy to me; however, he talks so smack and acts like he is some Jamaican "murderer" (quoting Barrington Levy), you hardly feel sorry for him, especially against top guys.

His attitude since losing has been excellent. Know what he done wrong. Credits Povetkin.

That all that matters. The rest against other boxers is no more than workplace banter. I’m sure we’ve all done worse.

He was hard on people when they hit rock bottom so he’s getting it back.

He does have a proper chip on his shoulder so hopefully that motivates him in the Povetkin rematch which should be unmissable viewing.

I don’t mind fighters mocking each other to a degree.. but when smug, life long white collar, promoters like Bob Arum start taking shots at boxers After they lose It pisses me off.

I won't say, that Whyte is Euro level. Actually, I also haven't been sold on him earlier. I had Chisora winning their first bout, I picked Helenius over Whyte, I picked Parker over Whyte. Helenius was injured, but then Whyte dealed with Parker in a pretty impressive way despite the blown ending. Since then he KOed Chisora and outboxed Rivas pretty handily. He's World class, just Povetkin is higher in class. If not the age, Povetkin would deal against Whyte without any troubles.

I can't speak for Dillian, although he's a fun fighter and seems like an alright bloke, but whether he believes it or not I never heard his name mentioned in Brixton as anybody serious. Chisora, in north he's well known and he's got form.

I feel bad for Dil
