Was Angulo vs. Truax canceled?
I was kind of looking forward to that fight more than the main event. Not exactly top level stuff but at least it felt like a true 50/50 fight.

According to a press release, “Truax was originally scheduled to face Angulo, but was forced to withdraw due to effects of dehydration.”jujigatame wrote: ↑29 Aug 2020, 11:28 Was Angulo vs. Truax canceled?

Damn Truax can't even make 168 any more? He must be in terrible shape.
Re: Is Alfredo Angulo washed up enough to lose to Vladimir Hernandez?
I know, Herndandez is replacing Truax. I think Angulo loses tonight.
Re: Is Alfredo Angulo washed up enough to lose to Vladimir Hernandez?
Just saw an ad like an hour ago on FS1 saying Truax was still in the fight. Anyone have a definitive answer here?
Edit: okay they just said Hernandez on the broadcast. I am bummed. Was really looking forward to Angulo vs Truax.

Angulo got fornicating robbed. He looked slow as molasses as usual and was getting his ass handed to him for the first 3 rounds, but after that he turned it on and landed a ton of punches. I thought he won at least 6 rounds if not all of the last 7.

I disagree strongly. Well, I guess that was obvious from my post.Rgoodwin wrote: ↑29 Aug 2020, 22:04I thought Hernandez wonjujigatame wrote: ↑29 Aug 2020, 21:51 Angulo got fornicating robbed. Angulo threw 1000+ punches in a 10 round fight (including a huge uptick in output after the first few rounds) and Hernandez didn't have much D so a ton were getting through. I thought the scorecards were ludicrous.

They both threw over a 1000.. And Hernandez didn't have much d? How was Angulos?...jujigatame wrote: ↑29 Aug 2020, 22:22I disagree strongly. The decision was right..

And my brother had it 8-2.

Are you sure Hernandez threw 1,000? I thought Angulo outthrew him by at least 100 punches and outlanded by around 50 on the punchstats. I don't have the fight saved on my DVR so I can't check.
I had it 7-3 Angulo with him winning the last 7 rounds.
What did the Fox unofficial scorer have it?

Regardless of punchstats the right guy won..might've been closer than 8-2 but no robbery

Man I guess I'm in the minority but I thought Angulo clearly outworked and outlanded Hernandez from round 4 on.

It could have gone either way....and it went one of those ways.

It could have went either way but kinda glad Angulo lost because a win meant he continued for sure. He would have got dominated by anyone in top 20. Hopefully he retires he sooooo faded.

50k for Truax seems a little low. I would think he probably was going get more for Truax.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Aug 2020, 14:40Maybe he was guaranteed more against Truax?
