I thought Ward's scoring was way off and the judges were closer to reality. Ward somehow had it 4-0 Ramirez after 4. I actually thought Postol was winning 3-2 through 5 and Ramirez rallied to win 8-4.

Looks like there was a big variance in how people scored, I guess it's that clash of styles with one guy coming forward and playing the bull and the other being the slapping box and mover

Some off scored on there like 10-2 Ramirez.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑30 Aug 2020, 18:36 Looks like there was a big variance in how people scored, I guess it's that clash of styles with one guy coming forward and playing the bull and the other being the slapping box and mover

Most had Ramirez win the last 2..
Many had it a draw though, with a few swinging Postol’s way as well.
I guess it comes down to how you watch the fight, what you prefer as a judge, the different styles.

Most had Ram winning the 11th and most had Postol the 12th...you can check the 'overall' card
There are cards all over the place, with each guy taking the opposite approach it will bring out the stylistic preferences in people

115-113 Ramirez on my card but I wouldn't argue with 114-114.

At least most can agree the right man won. At best you could have given Postol a draw, but he definitely didn't win.
I will say that based on that performance, I think Taylor beats Ramirez handily. Postol is very good but I think he did better than most (myself included) expected.

Thing is, Taylor vs Ramirez is a very different stylistic fight, it won't be a matter of how well they can deal with a 6 foot tall defensive boxer/mover. It's still about 50-50 for me. Postol also was very competitive vs Taylor, the official cards were done in hometown style,, it was a 7-5 ish type of win for Josh and the fight was pretty much even until he scored the knockdown and took over the last three for a well deserved but very competitive win
Though since that time Taylor has gained some good experience with the fights vs Baranchynk and Prog, competitive and hard fought but well deserved 12 round wins vs dangerous opponents. Too bad his next opponent is a total scrub, but he's earned it tbh
After that, let's f@cking get it on guys

Just watched this, had it 116-112 Ramirez. Postol made things tricky at times via his jab but didn't let his right hand go enough, the better power shots came from Ramirez. Viktor has only lost at the top level to be fair, not an easy guy to look brilliant against. Fingers crossed the undisputed fight with Taylor comes before the Catterall mandatory.

Yeh, Postol gave Taylor a good fight too, although the judges scorecards did not reflect the fight.NoScoutingReports wrote: ↑01 Sep 2020, 11:01 Just watched this, had it 116-112 Ramirez.
